TYPES OF RECREATIONS, COMMERCIAL, TRAILERS AND VEHICLES There are several examples of Recreational Vehicles, Recreational Trailers, Multi Purpose Trailers, and Commercial Trailers; which offer living accommodations in a mobile setting, the ability to transport personal recreational transportation, and for the purpose of commercial transportation. Some of these are prohibited to store or park within the Village limits and some are permitted. Below are examples of some trailer types and vehicle types that are prohibited and could be permitted: Type of Vehicle - Trailer Explanation That Could Be Permitted Boat Trailer (Recreational Transportation Trailer) -- These vary in size. Most can be towed by a small vehicle or pickup truck or Van. Multi Purpose Trailer (Recreational Transportation Trailer)-- These vary in size. Most can be towed by a small vehicle or pickup truck or Van. Multi Purpose Recreational Transportation Trailer-- These vary in size. Most can be towed by a small vehicle or pickup truck or Van and are design to transportation personal recreational transportation. Snowmobile (Recreational Transportation) Trailer-- These vary in size. Most can be towed by a small vehicle or pickup truck or Van and are design to transportation Snowmobile (recreational transportation). Truck Camper (Recreational Motor Vehicle)-- a detachable section designed to be transported on a pickup truck. The larger varieties may require trucks with dual _ rear wheels. Also called pickup camper or cab over camper. Motor home (Recreational Motor Vehicle) -- The larger of the group, one is built on a truck chassis with gasoline or diesel engine and is capable of traveling long distances due to large fuel capacity. Van Camper or Smaller Motor home (Recreational Motor Vehicle) -- Is built on a modified van chassis and usually has a section that overhangs the cab. Sometimes is a Conversion - Van camper and has a modified or raised roof for additional headroom. Van Camper (Recreational Motor Vehicle) -- Is built on a van chassis. Sometimes is a Conversion - Van camper and has a modified or raised roof for additional headroom. Folding Camping Trailer (or Recreational Trailer) -- has collapsible sides that are folded down for compact travel and unfolded at a campsite. Most can be towed by an averaged size vehicle. Conventional Camping Trailer(or Recreational Trailer) -- these vary in size from 13 to 35 feet. Most can be towed with a small size vehicle. A larger model may require a heavier pickup or van as the towing vehicle. Fifth Wheel Camping Trailer (or Recreational Trailer) -- is coupled to the towing vehicle (usually a pickup truck) with a hitch centered over the vehicle's rear axle. Fifth-wheel vary in length from 17 to 40 feet. Livestock or Horse Trailer -- a trailer that is designed to safely carry livestock or horses to and from the owner's property. These trailers vary in length from 13 to 40 feet. Some are considered a "Fifth Wheel Trailer" and others may require a heavier pickup or van as the towing vehicle. Semi Flat-Bed Trailer (Commercial Flat-Bed Semi-Trailer) -- a Flat-Bed trailer designed to transport commercial, agricultural, or heavy equipment. This trailer may vary in size but always is towed by a Tractor style commercial truck, or large dump truck, or a Multi-Axles Commercial Truck. Semi-Tanker Trailer (Commercial Tanker Trailer) -- a cylinder like tank-trailer designed to transport fluid to and from a commercial location. This tanker-trailer may vary in size but always is towed by a Tractor style commercial truck. Fifth Wheel Commercial Trailer (Commercial Fifth Wheel Trailer) -- is coupled to the towing vehicle (usually a pickup truck) with a hitch centered over the vehicle's rear axle. Fifth- wheel vary in length from 17 to 40 feet. Is design for commercial purposes. (This trailer may also come with a standard towing hitch and towed by a heavier style Commercial Vehicle) Lowboy / Tandem - Commercial Trailer (Commercial Trailer) -- is coupled to the towing vehicle (usually a pickup truck) with a hitch centered over the vehicle's rear bumper or rear deck. They vary in length from 17 to 40 feet. Is design for commercial purposes. (may also come with a standard towing hitch, towed by a heavier Commercial Vehicle) Tractor Style Commercial Truck (Tractor -Trailer)-- a commercial heavy hauling truck designed for heavy long hauling of commercial style trailers, with gasoline or diesel engine and is capable of traveling long distances due to large fuel capacity. Large Commercial Dump Truck (Commercial Dump)-- a commercial heavy hauling dump type truck designed for heavy long hauling of material or fill, with gasoline or diesel engine and is capable of traveling long distances due to large fuel capacity. Commercial Food Trailer (or Commercial Trailer) -- these vary in size from 13 to 35 feet. Most can be towed with a small size vehicle. A larger model may require a heavier pickup or van as the towing vehicle. Designed for commercial food sales.
