Andy Hurwitz (CB camper ’75, ’78-’79, Aide ’81, Staff ’83, and Parent ’04 – ’11) wrote in saying that “on a warm Sunday evening in late September a group of 18 alumni, campers, staff, and friends of the camps descended on Camden Yards in Baltimore as a show of support for the Red Sox. OK, to be fair, not everyone was a Sox fan... but a great time was had by all. There with me were Sam Hurwitz, The Doherty Family, Leslie Hanrahan and family, Becky Bloom, Liz Danchi and family, plus a special guest appearance by Tim Fitzgerald. The group was actively engaged in 9 innings of great baseball, including a rousing rendition of Y-M-C-A. I am proud to be serving as the Washington, DC Regional Member to the Alumni Council. Nearly 350 people attended the event and enjoyed an expanded Family Fun & Game Night, an extraordinary Jazz Café and a moving Chapel that reminded us all of the true Spirit of Camp.
