2016 OPSU Football Signees KJ Anderson- RB, 6’0, 185, H. Grady Spruce High School (Dallas, TX) Played for Head Coach Carl Richardson Jr. KJ was a two sport athlete, participating in both track and football at Spruce. His natural speed mixed with his ability to change direction made him an absolutely devastating back to DISD defenses. His ability to run and make plays, mixed with the unique football intelligence only a quarterback can have, will make him a great fit to wherever the Aggies play him. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2594364/hayden-cooper Tyrek Domio- LB, 6’1, 210, Spring High School (Spring, TX) Played for Head Coach Sam Parker Tyrek is a long, fast, and sudden player who was devastating to the offenses in the Houston area. He was awarded All-District honors on both sides of the ball proving to be an extremely versatile player. He has the great ability to flip his hips and change direction. Being a son of a football coach, his inherent football intelligence will be a great quality for the multiple nature of the Aggie offense. Russell has a knack for getting his hips in and out of breaks and does a great job of catching the ball in his hands. Guyer High School (Denton, TX) Played for Head Coach John Walsh Chad comes from one of the best high schools in the state, which will allow him to be ahead of the curve when it comes to the speed of the college game. He is a good athlete and does well when blocking in space. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2459727/chadwick-hickson Dejon Jeffrey- DB, 5’9, 170, Lakeview Centennial High School (Garland, TX) Played for Head Coach Kindell Miller Truly a student-athlete; will be an honors graduate and has been a dual sport athlete throughout his high school career. He managed to attain 2nd team All-District accolades during his senior campaign. Dejon plays with great fundamentals and utilizes his speed to the ball to be an advantage in the run game. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2571009/dejon-jeffery Beau Jinkens- QB, 6’1, 170, Kingfisher High School (Kingfisher, OK) Played for Head Coach Jeff Myers Beau is a great athlete, and was one of the most recruited QBs in the state of Oklahoma. Beau is a savvy runner with an excellent arm. Adrian comes from Connally High School in Waco, TX. He is a player that adds both size and speed to the Linebacker corps. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3264380/adrian-johnson Keandre’ Johnson- DL, 5’10, 286, Colleyville Heritage High School (Colleyville, TX) Played for Head Coach Joe Willis Keandre’ Johnson will play the Nose Guard position coming into OPSU, he is an explosive player that does a great job of using his hands and strength to shed blocks. He also uses his size to get leverage on opposing offensive linemen allowing him penetration into the backfield. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2611095/keandre-johnson Marcus Jones- DB, 6’0, 170, Akins High School (Austin, TX) Played for Head Coach Humberto Garza Marcus has an excellent blend of physicality and closing speed that made him a terror to offenses in the Austin area. He is a smart player that will add an immediate presence of versatility, speed, and intelligence to the Aggie’s defense. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/4121219/marcus-jones Brandon Julian- DL, 6’1, 200, Killeen High School (Killeen, TX) Played for Head Coach Neil Searcy Bio- Brandon Julian was a 2nd team All-District athlete his senior year of high school. Brandon was a two sport athlete also competing in track during the spring which, in-turn, helped him with his speed off the edge on the football field. Brandon has a long frame and room to grow, becoming an excellent complement to his speed off of the edge. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3897233/brandon-julian Nathan Leithead- LB, 5’11, 220, Pine Creek High School (Colorado Springs, CO) Played for Head Coach Todd Miller Nate is a hard-nosed linebacker that comes from Pine Creek High School located in Colorado Springs, CO. On top of playing football Nate was also a wrestler for his high school team. On top of his excellent size he has extremely soft hands. These abilities are going to make him and excellent fit for the Aggie offense. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/4688023/highlights Carlos Lopez- OL, 6’5, 285, Del Rio High School (Del Rio, TX) Played for Head Coach Frenchey McCrea With an extraordinary frame of 6’5, Carlos is a long and physical offensive lineman that will be able to use his frame and physicality to punish defensive lineman. A dominating presence at Vega High School who excelled by using his speed, and instinctiveness to make plays on both sides of the ball.
