Organisation Project Award Activity Food for Good £15,000.00 Develop a Covid-19 Action Plan for the Govan (Govan Thriving Places) Thriving Place Food for Good Thematic Group. Recruit Community Chefs who meet Quality Assurance Framework standard. Identify venues, volunteers or staff members who can support food activity in Govan Thriving Place Provide Hot Meals to those who are most vulnerable in the Govan Thriving Place community Demonstrations on how to cook and promotion of Flat Pack Meals Deliver Food Parcels for Elderly and Vulnerable members of the community who are unable to access visits to or online access to the shops Provide 100 lunches at 5 venues across Govan Provide 50 food packs per week to vulnerable families and individuals in Govan Provide over 50 cooked meals (for reheating) Home food deliveries Govan Housing Association Digital Inclusion £24,200.00 partnership working with 10 community based organisations supporting them to operate their own Digital Lending Libraries ensuring the most vulnerable to digital exclusion in the Govan ward are supported to get on line Covid-19 Digital response: £17,1000.00 to extend the Digital Lending Library Devices and Connectivity programme and support an additional five extension community based organisations together with local community councils, ensuring that the most vulnerable to digital exclusion are supported to get online - through the provision of devises and a two month data allocation. Project beneficiaries will receive additional support through Digital Champions. Riverside Hall Hungry Munchers Old £3,420.00 hot meal delivery & wellbeing support service to School older, isolated members of the East Govan, Ibrox community. 114 meals/week. Hungry Munchers 2 £3,442.50 to increase their food delivery service for an additional day (Monday), supporting the delivery of home meals for local pensioners 3 days a week. And open the community garden for a further 4 days a week, through increasing the hours of a sessional garden worker. Police Scotland Smartwater Use for £5,000.00 support victims of Domestic Abuse, at a time Domestic Victims when there are delays on court hearings, meaning that more perpetrators of violence are being released into the community, through implementing smart doorbells which can provide evidence of re-offence and provide personal alarms to identified households within the Govan Ward. Govan Community Project Covid-19 Digital Inclusion & £3,260.50 digital inclusion and wellbeing support for Wellbeing Support community members through increased working hours over a three month period. The project will benefit the diverse communities of Govan, both ‘New’ and ‘Old’ Scots from settled and migrant backgrounds, and diverse age groups. Glasgow Clyde College Gift-tech a Digital £3,750.00 address the digital inequalities existing across Response to Covid-19 the Govan community, which have been magnified by Covid-19, by providing digital resources that will support local people who have recently received computers. The project aims to work with those far from the labour market, including long term unemployed, those on low wages, families experiencing food and fuel poverty, migrants, refugees, and other disadvantage groups experiencing the negative effects of Covid-19 GalGael Socially Connected and £2,445.00 create moveable screens that will enable the Protected workspace to be utilised while reducing risk, keeping people safe and maximising social connection, enabling the workshop to resume services once social restrictions are relaxed/removed for the benefit all participants of GalGael Money Matters Energy Matters £10,000.00 support the delivery of a targeted Govan Energy Advice Service to address the increasing issue of fuel poverty across the local area, providing direct support and advice to help households with energy issues. Covid Debt Matters £10,000.00 enhance their existing advice service with a targeted resource for Govan residents whose finances have been affected by Covid-19. This will be open to all residents with referral pathways established for those residents who may require a full wraparound money advice service. Govan Youth Information Family Night “Have a night £2,000.00 provide family fun night in packs including a Project in on us” board game across the Govan area. The project aims to encourage and support families to spend time together, socialise and have fun. Govan High School Support for young people £5,000.00 direct support to pupils and families of Govan and their families from GHS High School who are experiencing severe financial challenges due to the impact of Covid- 19. This will include: weekly food vouchers; IT equipment and support towards energy costs and household bundles. Arts, Heritage and Wellbeing Stage £1,000.00 Provide writers classes on poetry, short stories, (Govan Thriving Places) film scripts and ideas for comedy scripts for children and adults in Govan. The Glasgow Barons £2,836.00 Provide online singing classes to Govan residents through one to one sessions for 18-50 year olds and groups sessions for over 50's, including those referred by NHS Links workers Gilded Lily £4,960.00 Provide creative activity packs over a 10 week period and a weekly online tutorial to woman in Govan Make Do n Grow £5,400.00 Provide creative activity packs over a 10 week period to vulnerable children and families in Govan Plantation Productions £5,436.15 Provide creative activity packs, online signing classes and children's scavenger hunts to socially distanced families, people experiencing mental health issues and older people in Govan. Sunny Govan Community £7,595.00 Provide a series of online tutorials aimed at Media Group residents of G51, in areas of music production/beat making, rapping and singing workshops, podcast creation, Djing skills workshops and radio skills workshops. Unlock Employment & Employment Digital £5,000.00 Creation of a new Digital Champions post to Empowerment CIC Champion work with existing and new clients to build confidence and skills online. Post will support digital access to Job Search's and Job Applications at home. Employment Training Fund £5,000.00 Funding secured would support Unlock Employment to create a dedicated Training Allocation for local people, who are currently on a pathway to employment to access accredited training programmes Govan HELPS Govan HELP Food Pantry £10,000.00 To enable Govan HELPS in partnership with Pilot Project The Pearce Institute to continue with the development and delivery of the newly established Pop Up Pantry shop, supporting these organisations to both provide immediate support to address food inequalities and to assess the feasibility of opening a Govan Community Pantry. Govan Youth Partnership £6,932.00 Govan Youth Partnership Group (GYPG) aims Group to deliver a 9 week Detached and Outreach Service in response to COVID19; to reduce increased youth disorder and anti-social behaviour within the Govan area, engaging with young people in targeted hot spots that have been identified by Community Police as areas of concern during lockdown. The project will be delivered as a partnership between GYIP, Aberlour & Glasgow Life. GYIP lead for funding. Moogety Foods Dig In Community £3,330.00 Support the continued increased opening hours Greengrocers for Dig In Community Greengrocers together with volunteer costs for individual food ordering service and admin costs to support this. The extended opening hours ensure that the local community has access to fresh produce and household essentials at a reasonable price, without the need of having to visit multiple shops. Glasgow Life G51 Online Learning £5,110.00 support 40 new and existing adult learners in Initiative Govan with 4 weeks 1:1 support to receive online learning opportunities. This will include individuals who require literacy support and ESOL referrals. this will be complemented with the purchase of 25 Klick2Learn licences to support digital interactive mobile friendly learning" Govan, Elderpark and Developing an Agile, £19,275.00 This joint application from GEL (Govan, Linthouse Housing Healthier and Wealthier Elderpark and Linthouse Housing Associations) Associations (GEL) Govan will provide: a dedicated community wellbeing support service available 24/7 for all HA customers (4,564 households across Govan); and will implement an electronic feedback system that enables weekly check-ins to determine immediate needs, together with information about health and wellbeing. This will enable quicker and more accurate referrals to wider support services internally & externally, ensuring local people get the targeted support required. Kinning Park Complex KPC A-OK £2,975.00 Funding will be used to purchase and make up 175 grocery boxes to be delivered to residents of the G51 area with the majority of boxes being used to support households within Kinning Park, Plantation and Cessnock areas, who often do not engage with the services that are provided from central Govan Prince & Princess of Wales Community Food Project £1,789.00 for the joint initiative being run by PPWH, The Hospice Salvation Army and local partners. Funding will be used, over a period of 9 weeks, to continue the preparation of hot food within PPWH that is used by The Salvation Army and other local groups to distribute across Govan. St Constantine’s Primary Feeding the children of £3,000.00 to provide food vouchers for extremely School Govan vulnerable families of children that attend St Constantine's. .
