OUR VISION The vision of World Baseball Academy is to develop leaders who positively impact our world. ABOUT US World Baseball Academy (WBA) is a home-grown 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. WBA owns and operates the 26- acre ASH Centre facility located at 1701 Freeman Street, just west of downtown. Through the Four T’s of Impact (Tournaments, Team Support, Training & Trips) more than 5,000 boys and girls annually experience the WBA as a safe place for learning baseball and developing as a player and as a person. WBA has been privileged to work alongside some of the world’s top baseball leaders and we strive to be intentional with our influence on the lives of the students and families we serve. B D A S L E R B O A ABOUT THE PROGRAM W L L Our passion for developing young people inspires us to reach all kids, not just those whose families can afford baseball lessons and teams, or those who are physically or developmentally Y capable of mainstream competitive sports. That’s why we created A M C A D E On Deck. On Deck programs serve at-risk boys and girls ages 5 - 18 to help them reach their full potential, overcoming challenges including socioeconomic status and intellectual or physical disability. Opportunities to learn, be mentored, and to VERSION #5.1 VERSION #5.2 VERSION #5.3 serve are offered at no cost to families, thanks to the support of donors who care about kids. In its 2018-2019 program year, SINCE 2009 SINCE 2009 On Deck programs served nearly 1,000 boys and girls. Your partnership will strengthen this quality mentoring program to serve even more at-risk youth – a true home run for our community! THANKS FOR ATTENDING WELCOME! Dear Friends, Thank you so much for attending the 2019 World Baseball Academy Dinner on the Diamond. The purpose of tonight’s event is to bring awareness and raise financial support for WBA efforts in using the platform of baseball as a mentoring tool for at-risk youth. Many people know WBA for our tournaments, facilities, and even our international mission trips. However, over the past 10 years, WBA has continued to quietly expand our outreach of serving at-risk youth in our community. WBA’s On Deck programs include summer camps, one-day camps, STEM field trips, core 30, and an adaptive baseball camp, all of which focus on encouraging at-risk youth through the platform of baseball. We strive to use the game to reach all kids regardless of their ability, building relationships and instilling character values that will develop them as future leaders. B D A S Please enjoy this evening as we celebrate World Baseball L E R B Academy’s impact on young people and our community. We O A hope you are encouraged by what you see and hear, and by W L L what you are supporting, which is clearly more than baseball. A whole lot more. You are developing leaders who will Y positively impact our world. A M C A D E Thank you, VERSION #5.1 VERSION #5.2 VERSION #5.3 Caleb B.
