Surplus water in Palar river is getting wasted and flowing into Tamilnadu state.Therefore surplus water is diverted from Nallagatturevu checkdam situated in Palar river into Chennamma cheruvu of Kangundi (v) in Kuppam (m) of Chittoor dt. The proposed work is very essential to irrigate an ayavut of 338 acres of Giddegaipalli H/O Kangundi (v) of Kuppam (m) in Chittoor dt. LOCATION The proposed scheme is located at about 1 Km West to Sivaramapuram (v) and Santhipuram Mandal of Chittoor district. The Global coordinates are as follows: Latitude : _12_0 - _49’ - _10 ” Longitude : _78 _0 - 26 ’ - 30 ” SI Sheet No. 57 L/5 Scale 1:50,000.
