Parish update… Wednesday 9 September 2020 Hi everyone! I’m Rob and I’m really excited to be joining you in Keighley Parish! This year, I am starting my studies as a full time ordinand at St Hild College in Mirfield, whilst completing the contextual element of my training here with you. I’m married to Katie who is the Headteacher at Baildon Church of England Primary School; we both met at university whilst studying music, before then going into teaching. This summer I have moved on from Bradford Forster Academy, where I taught Music and had responsibility for Collective Worship and Christian Ethos. We have two children: Will is starting his GCSE’s this year and is a keen pianist and percussionist who plays for Bradford Youth Orchestra. Lottie is starting secondary school this year and is also a musician: she plays the baritone with BD1 Brass Band and loves to sing. As a family, we have been worshipping at St John’s Baildon, where we ran the choir and worship band. Having been born in Thwaites Brow, and baptised at St Barnabas, it feels really special that God is calling me back to Keighley. We are really looking forward to meeting you all soon and seeing what God has in store for us. Every blessing! The 3 O'clock Team Vera Jackson Following Vera’s death, her daughter-in-law Sarah, who lives in South Africa, would like those who knew Vera to send her (via email) any photos and anecdotes you might have of her, so she can compile a scrap book, especially for her children, Sam and Alice. Obviously she won’t be able to attend the funeral, so any help you can offer would be much appreciated. Her email address is [email protected] It would be helpful if you could let me know if you are able to send something to Sarah.
