Morello Writing Samples NFL Films Script Sample: Game Preview - WK 2 CHI@SF 1) The 0-1 Chicago Bears seek redemption against the 1-0 San Francisco 49ers in a critical week 2 match up. 2) Against the Dallas Cowboys in week 1, Colin Kaepernick displayed his determination to get off to a fast start. 3) He passed for 201 yards and connected twice in the end zone with Vernon Davis. 4) Last season, Kaepernick threw for over 3,000 yards and boasted 21 touchdown passes. 5) With his swift feet, he rushed for an additional 524 yards, ranking 4th among quarterbacks. 6) He will clash against a revamped Bears pass-rushing defense that now includes, 5-time Pro Bowl Defensive end, Jared Allen. 7) On offense, Quarterback Jay Cutler leads the Bears 2nd ranked scoring attack. 8) In week 1, Cutler threw for 349 yards and 2 touchdowns… 9) But gave up 2 interceptions. 10) To trump the 49ers, Cutler will need to limit turnovers by utilizing Running Back Matt Forte. 11) In week 1, Forte amassed 169 yards, 82 on the ground and 87 through the air. 12) He will face a top five 49er defense that ranks 5th in yards allowed and 3rd in points allowed. 13) San Francisco is also a threat on the ground, with a run game led by franchise rushing leader, Frank Gore. 14) In week 1, Gore accumulated 63 yards becoming just the 10th player in NFL history with 10,000 rushing yards in 10 seasons with a single franchise. 15) Gore may have stolen the show, but the highlights were provided by rookie Running back, Carlos Hyde….In his first regular season game, Hyde rushed for 50 yards on 7 carries and scored his first career touchdown. 16) The duo will face a Bears defense that has struggled against the run, ranking last in the league, allowing nearly 2500 yards and surrendering 22 Touchdowns. 17) Chicago is looking to put their overtime loss in week 1 behind them as the 49ers attempt to keep pace in the NFC West. .
