Golden Gate Audubon formed in 1917 in order to stop three major oil companies from dumping crude oil near the Farallon Islands, off the San Francisco coast. Our mission: We engage Bay Area residents to: - Experience the wonder of birds and translate that wonder into action; and - Protect native bird populations and their habitats. b.
