1. Paint
Your contractor can apply for National Account pricing with Benjamin Moore. Locate a retailer near you online at www.benjaminmoore.com or call 1.877.6-COLOR-6. For additional assistance, our rep is Paul Ballas, at 201-949-6934. Our Benjamin Moore paint specifications document with pricing is available on the Design & Build web site. The standard Ultra Spec 500 interior paint is a zero-VOC product, and the longer-lasting Aura is a low-VOC product.

2. Cabinetry
Cabinetry can be ordered from Boelter, via their relationship with Institutional Equipment Incorporated.

A recommended upgrade is to replace the Macchiato Walnut with reclaimed wood, installed horizontally. This can be sourced locally, or we have an approved national vendor. Wood must be smooth enough not to cause splinters and a clear coat applied to make it cleanable. Discuss with Jarod Charron.
Some stores that have very short front lines may be approved to use reclaimed wood or Macchiato Walnut for all the cabinetry; please discuss with Jarod.
3. Furniture
We have two options for chairs. The Melissa Anne 504 chair is a great looking, sturdy chair at a reasonable price for commercial furniture. The lower-cost CSP metal chair matches our dining bar
stools. Both chairs are available through Boelter. Others are not allowed without prior approval.

Outdoor Furniture: Our approved outdoor furniture is available from Boelter, consisting of Emu tables (828‐22 A/IRON) and alternating green and blue chairs (161 A/GREEN & A/BLUE) and Plantation umbrella bases (2239848‐01). Branded umbrellas (pictured) are purchased through ASB. Contact Jarod Charron about sourcing alternate umbrellas; graphics must be pre-approved.
4. Flooring

Tiles are placed close to each other to create the look of a wood floor, 3/16 of an inch apart. Overlap should not exceed 33%.

6. Wainscoting
2.5 inch, 26 gauge galvanized corrugated metal for our wainscoting can be purchased from Metal Sales (800-406- 7387 / www.metalsales.us.com) or sourced locally.
It is topped by solid wood trim, 1”x4”with Penofin Verde Oak Stain (or equivalent) and clear satin varnish.
Outlet covers should be configured such that all metal edges are covered.
7. Menu Board Wall

8. Gift Display
We have a gift display program with Vermont company Select Design. There is a yearly ordering period after the Global Franchise Meeting in January. We can discuss your gift display needs during the Design & Build Process and plan for a future installation if the ordering period has passed for this year.
9. Signs and Wall Art
Large Signs: These are required interior design elements that help create the Ben & Jerry’s experience. Original 3-D wall art items are available through Light-Works. Contact Marty Feldman at 802-658-6815. United Sign is also an approved supplier of these signs. They make a flat version of each, for a lower price, as well as ½ size versions of the mission statement and art pack for smaller stores (with pre-approval by Jarod Charron only). Ceiling Clouds:
Ceiling clouds are built and installed by your contractor to specs available from the D&B web site. Decals are available from United Sign and Graphics (see contact info above) or you can download graphics and source locally.
Menu Board:
Menu boards are ordered from Light- Works, after a discussion with Jarod Charron. The order form is available on the D&B web site. Contact Jarod with questions.
Small Signage and other Trade Dress:
To complete your trade dress orders, a number of small signs and other items will be purchased through ASB, including:

10. Woody murals
Shop murals must be designed by Ben & Jerry’s; contact Claudette Miner in Franchise Marketing for information (x2676). You can add ¾” birch plywood cutouts of the cows for a 3-D effect. Typically you will have a custom mural designed for your shop that showcases local landmarks or themes, a great way to connect your shop to the local community. Claudette can explain the program, and she will send you a form to fill out. A design template will ultimately be sent to you for your muralist to use when painting the mural on the wall of your shop. Vinyl wall wraps are also an option.
