  • Country Properties £330,000 Unit One Nethercote Farm
Nethercote Farm, Unit 1 Snarestone Road, Newton Burgoland, Coalville LE67 2SN Country Properties £330,000 Unit One Nethercote Farm GENERAL Sensational opportunity to create a truly unique 2400 sq ft property in idyllic country setting with stable block and 3.5 acre paddock. You decide whether you want a contemporary or traditional interior in this pretty traditional barn. The site is set in paddock land with the National Forest forming a spectacular backdrop. The plot forms part of the Nethercote Farm development where planning permission has recently been granted for three outstanding country dwellings, all of which will have a paddock of approximately 3.5 acres. Whilst planning permission has been secured for the conversion of Nethercote Farm into 3 dwellings, the sellers believe it would be possible to convert into a large, single executive dwelling, for those aspiring to live the life of luxury in a large 4650 sq. Ft contemporary barn conversion with attached 2,400 sq. Ft annexe set in 10.5 acres of paddock land. Alternatively units 2 & 3 can potentially be converted to 1 unit. David Granger Architectural Design Ltd can advise on this. LOCATION Nethercote Farm is located immediately to the North of Newton Burgoland within walking distance of the village . Newton Burgoland is a highly desirable village set in some of the prettiest Leicestershire countryside located midway between the market towns of Ashby de la Zouch and Market Bosworth. Amenities in the village include a primary school, which was designated as "outstanding" in its last Ofsted report and the renowned Belper Arms. There are some lovely walks in the area and the exclusive health resort of Champney Springs is close by.

  • Leicestershire & Rutland
Leicestershire & Rutland County News May 2021 Issue 471 Chairman’s Column Writing for the May edition, I can’t believe how fast the year is flying by. I’m not sure if it is because of the long awaited relaxation of some restrictions that feel a bit like waiting for the long summer holiday when we were at school or just a sign of age! Now we all have smart hair cuts, can enjoy meals out, may have been to a pub and even looked at booking a holiday, I hope your WIs are able to plan some ‘get togethers’ either in a car park, garden or local park to plan some activities for yourselves now. Remember to follow guidelines and we can all stay well and meet indoors when allowed. There will be changes to our WIs and some Members will choose not to return at the moment but we can work with the Members we have to enjoy the friendship and fun we have all shared in the past. Unfortunately some of our WIs have had to be suspended for a variety of reasons and there are Members looking for new "homes", I am sure they will be warmly welcomed if they choose your WI to attend. The Membership Committee hope to revisit some of the areas where WIs have had to close in the near future to look at a restart. As I am one of the WI Advisers on the Membership Committee I said I wouldn’t do a separate piece for County News as you see enough of me every month but I often mention what we are doing in the Chairman’s Column and it is something I find very enjoyable.
