We decorated the bags with happy pictures and colors! Our school’s kindness helped over 500 people! It was so so so much fun and I can’t wait INK to do it again next year!!!

After what seemed like forever, a worker told us that we could enter the field for our parade. We needed to walk around the outside of the field, and we weren’t allowed on the grass. By this point my legs were really tired and I was sweat- ing so much that I looked like I just stepped out of a pool, but yet I was having so much fun. People in the stands were cheering and clapping for us. One of the best parts of the parade was when my baby sister, Audrey, ended up on the big screen in the stadium. After one lap around the field, we went back down underneath the stadium then out onto the sidewalk. I found the rest of my family and we entered the ballpark together and found our seats. The Phillies were playing the Minnesota Twins. We were high up and had a great view of the whole field. I ate hotdogs and had ice cream in a bowl shaped like a mini Phillies hat. All in all it was a really great day. It was fun spending time with my family and my friends in Cub Scouts. It was even better because the Phillies won the game 2-1 against the Twins. 8 The Raining Phish Show By: Penelope Hana Iannucci, 3rd Grade, Mrs. Herman Last summer, I went to a concert that was very, very fun. I went to see the band Phish on June 29, 2019. We went to see the concert in Camden, NJ. I went with my mom and dad. I also went with my best friend, Izzy, her brother, River, and their parents. I also hung out with my friends Amelia, Jonah, and Shi- loh with their parents. We had a great time especially when it was RAINING!!! It was a lot of fun. We all got separated when we en- tered the concert area and the rain started. We all got really wet and my dad was stand- ing in the pouring rain. FINALLY the rain stopped and we found each other, but then it started to rain again! So we all ran under the tent with A LOT of people. My friends and I ate about 5 ring pops each while we waited for the rain to stop pouring. After the rain stopped we set up our blankets on the lawn and the show started. Then we ate even more ring pops. Phish played some of my favorite songs like “Mercury” and “Strawberry Let- ter 23”. I was so happy, I almost cried, but I didn’t. While the band played music we made up a game with the extra blanket. One person put the blanket over their head and the other people were running around the blanket we sat on. The covered person tried to run around and tag the others. It was re- ally fun and I wish it didn’t have to end. We had a great time at the show and I can’t wait to go again next summer! 13 Restaurant review: First Day of Miller’s Ale House By: Alec Massey, 2nd Grade, Mrs. Ferdon Flexible Learning There is a new restaurant in town called Miller’s Ale House located in the Granite Run Prom- enade on Baltimore Pike. I have been to Miller’s many times – sometimes with my Mom, Dad and my brothers and also a few times with my brother’s basketball team and friends. The restaurant is big and has a lot of tables for guests – there are 2 rooms and 2 bars. You can be laid back when eating at Miller’s Ale House. There are many televisions to watch different sports! Kids also get an activity booklet with puzzles and games inside that keep us busy! The food at Miller’s Ale House is very good – especially the kids meals. Plus the kid’s meals come with ice cream!! My favorite meal is the mac and cheese, but they have other great items like grilled cheese (my younger brother’s favorite) and chicken fingers (my older brother thinks they are really good). Also there are a lot of drinks to choose from like Chocolate milk and many different sodas. The people that work at Miller’s Ale House are very nice and kind and work hard to give us a nice meal. If you are looking for a kid-friendly place to eat, then you should probably check out Miller’s Ale House.

Two of the players we want to talk about are Patrick Mahomes and Jimmy Garoppolo and we will share our favorite plays of the game from each team. Patrick Mahomes plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. He is the youngest quarterback to win the Superbowl MVP. He had 26/42 pass completions for 286 yards with 2 passing touchdowns and 1 rushing touchdown. Plus he had 29 rushing yards. He had a very good game. Jimmy Garoppolo, the quarterback for the 49ers, threw for 219 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. If the 49ers won the game, he probably would have gotten the Superbowl MVP because he had the best statistics on their team. Here are a few of our top plays: • One of the most exciting parts of the game was when Bashaud Breeland had an interception for the Chiefs. After the interceptions, the Chiefs got the ball back and the team ended up scoring a touchdown. • A turning point of the game was during the 4th quarter. The Chiefs had the ball and it was 3rd down and 15 (yards). Mahomes threw the ball to Wide Receiver, Tyreek Hill for a 44 yard catch. • Kyle Juszczyk, of the 49ers, had a 15 yard touchdown catch in the 2nd quarter which tied the game 10-10. • Fred Warner is a Linebacker for the 49ers. He had an interception during the 3rd quarter which gave the 49ers the ball back. During their next drive, they scored another touchdown which widened their lead. That is the recap of Superbowl LIV and we were happy to see the Chiefs win! We were excited to see Andy Reid, the coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, win a Superbwl for the first time because he used to coach the Philadelphia Eagles. We hope you had a fun time watching the game too.
