The Commission first adopted rules requiring broadcast stations to maintain public files documenting requests for political advertising time more than 80 years ago,1 and political file obligations have been embodied in section 315(e) of the Act since 2002.2 Section 315(e)(1) requires radio station licensees, among other regulatees, to maintain and make available for public inspection information about each request for the purchase of broadcast time that is made: (a) by or on behalf of a legally qualified candidate for public office,3 or (b) by an issue advertiser whose advertisement communicates a message relating to a political matter of national importance.4 Section 315(e)(3) of the Act requires stations to upload information about such requests to their online political files “as soon as possible.”5 Section 73.1943(a) of the Commission’s Rules requires stations to maintain and make available for public inspection information about all requests for broadcast time made by or on behalf of candidates for public office,6 and section 73.1943(c) requires stations to upload such information to their online political files 1 See 3 Fed. -

Internet: http://www.fcc.gov Washington, D.C. 20554 TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 13-1468 Released: June 28, 2013 FCC CONTINUES 2013 EEO AUDITS On June 26, 2013, the Federal Communications Commission mailed the second of its Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) audit letters for 2013 to randomly selected radio stations. In accordance with the provisions of Section 73.2080(f)(4) of the Commission’s EEO rules, the FCC annually audits the EEO programs of randomly selected broadcast licensees. Each year, approximately five percent of all radio and television stations are selected for EEO audits. Attached are a list of the radio stations to which the audit letters were sent, as well as the text of the June 26, 2013 audit letter. The list and the letter can also be viewed by accessing the Media Bureau’s current EEO headline page on the FCC website at http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/equal-employment-opportunity-2013-headlines . For stations that have a website and five or more full-time employees: We remind you that you must post your most recent EEO public file report on your website by the deadline by which it must be placed in the public file, in accordance with 47 C.F.R. § 73.2080(c)(6). This will be examined as part of the audit. Failure to post the required report on a station website is a violation of the EEO Rule and subject to sanctions, including a forfeiture. -

2014-2015 ANNUAL REPORT Dear Friends of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix, The Club was not just an after-school program for me. It was a safe haven. A This past year has been a momentous one. More than 30,000 children and place for me to learn, socialize and be teens had a remarkable year thanks to the support of friends like you. myself. To kick off the summer, we opened our 13th Club on the Balsz Elementary As a refugee from Africa, my mother School campus, the Bob & Renee Parsons Branch, which serves almost 300 kids a day. We also provided 290,166 hot, nutritious meals at no cost to our kids, worked multiple jobs to make a better enhanced our Clubs with renovation projects, and added new sport courts for our life for the two of us in the U.S. While very active kids. working, she was worried about my safety. Thankfully I had the Club. The youth we serve rely on us. For so many local kids, our Clubs are the only place to get nutritious meals, have the space and equipment to play and stay fit, Instead of going home to an empty house and partake in life-changing educational and leadership programs.
