by Mary Anne ANDERSEN Cedar City Arts Council f there is one thing I have told my children, grandchildren, and students over the years, it is this: “Stay in your season”. Be a child, a student, Ia parent when appropriate. Live in the proper order; enjoy things available now. I am of the firm belief that doing so results in mostly happy memories as the years go by. Christmas today is not like Christmas 70, 15, or even 4 years ago and so must be created anew to match current situations. But alas; that doesn’t prevent my wishing that I could re-create some of those memorable Christmases past. Seventeen years ago, I had all my family here for Christmas (except for a son-in-law and unborn grandchild). The circumstances that brought 8 or 9 people into our medium-sized home were not especially joyful that year. One daughter was in a wheelchair as a result of a motorcycle accident and she was living here along with 2 of her shay baruffi children. But Christmas morning was magic; we Annual followed our tradition of opening one gift at a time and it took us hours. I don’t wish the return of such a medically scary Messiah time, but everyone I loved was under my roof at by Shay Baruffi once and I was happy.
