Így e két, egymásnak ellentmondó szó kölcsönösen befolyásolja a másik jelentését, egy új fogalomkört alkotva. Ezáltal a virtuális valóság tulajdonképpen egy olyan, számí- tógépes környezet által generált mesterséges, a valóságban nem létező világ, melybe az adott felhasználó megpróbál minél inkább belemélyedni, vagyis beleéli magát a virtuális térben történő eseményekbe.
