FORD 17 HONDA 20 As the name suggests, automotive gas springs use compressed HYUNDAI 21 gas to support the opening and closing of a car’s boot, JAGUAR 23 tailgate, or bonnet by aiding the elevation and holding the JEEP 24 KIA 25 weight once open. We also include a small range of dampers LADA 26 which provide a controlled opening on a car boot. LANCIA 26 LAND ROVER 27 The ROC gas spring range covers almost every car in the LEXUS 27 European market, with the vast majority supplied complete MAZDA 28 with end fittings for ease of installation. MERCEDES 30 MG 34 There is a common misconception that replacement MINI 34 automotive gas springs are only available from vehicle main MITSUBISHI 35 NISSAN 36 dealers. This is no longer the case and all ROC gas springs OPEL 38 are produced to OE matching standards, and can therefore PEUGEOT 41 be installed by authorised workshops without any warranty PORSCHE 44 restrictions. Notes - GB 66 SE 67 FI 68 DE 69 FR 70 PL 71 RU 72 GAS Technical listings by part number 74 SPRINGS 2019 by length 100 Important Information 1. Application 1.1. ROC’s gas spring range is primarily designed for cars in the European market, and covers the majority of applications available. 1.2. ROC gas springs are supplied complete with end fittings for ease of installation. 1.3. Unless specifically stated otherwise, the listings in this catalogue are for standard unmodified vehicles. They are not for vehicles that have been extra equipped with spoilers, speakers or other additions that may affect the weight of the bonnet, boot or hatch. Similarly, an aluminium bonnet replaced with a steel bonnet (e.g. after an accident) may also prove to be too heavy for the springs listed. 1.4 The gas springs in this catalogue are stock items. 2. Safety 2.1. Gas springs contain oil and pressurised gas. Never attempt to open or drill into a gas spring. 2.2. For safety, spring installation should be undertaken by a competent person and instructions from a recognised repair manual should be followed. 2.3. Compare the design, length, and end fittings against the existing spring. 2.4. Check the mounting points on the body of the vehicle are clean and in good condition. If damaged, they should be changed or repaired before the replacement spring is installed. 2.5. Gas springs support the weight of a vehicle’s boot or bonnet. To avoid injuries, always ensure that the boot or bonnet is secured before replacing springs. 2.6. Where the end fitting is a “ball and socket” design, it is important that the safety clips are correctly located after fitting. 2.7. Where applicable, we recommend that gas springs are replaced in pairs. 3. Design and warranty 3.1. Gas springs consist of a pressure tube, piston rod, piston, seals, and other components. They contain a small amount of oil that produces a damping effect, as well as keeping the seals lubricated. 3.2. Gas springs are filled with compressed nitrogen, which forces the piston rod to extend once compressed. 3.3. The gas pressure within the spring is set to provide the correct force, based on the weight of the boot or bonnet. 3.4. Cold temperatures reduce the lifting capabilities of gas springs - the force stated on a gas spring is established at a temperature of 20°C and the operating force of the spring will then alter depending on the environmental temperatures during use, with variation at a rate of +/- 0.34% per change in degree Celsius. 4. Quality 4.1. ROC gas springs are made in accordance with ISO9001 & ISO14001. 4.2. ROC gas springs are inspected and tested before delivery. 1 GAS SPRINGS Front Spring Rear Spring Model Make and Model Year Type Part Notes Part Notes AUDIALFA continuedROMEO 33 33 905 83 - 89 GS0136 33 907 89 - 9/94 GS0137 145 145 930 94 - 00 GS0882 146 146, without rear spoiler 930 94 - 00 GS0513 146, with rear spoiler 930 94 - 00 GS0514 147 147 937 1/01 - 10 GS0945 GS0667 155 155, without rear spoiler 167 92 - 9/97 GS0107 GS0143 155, with rear spoiler 167 92 - 9/97 GS0107 GS0144 156 156, without rear spoiler 932 10/97 - 06 GS0515 GS0516 156, with rear spoiler 932 10/97 - 06 GS0515 GS1443 156 Sportwagon 932 5/00 - 06 GS0515 GS0669 159 159 140 05 - 12 GS0953 GS0951 159 Sportwagon 140 05 - 12 GS0953 GS0946 164 164 164 88 - 98 GS0100 GS0138 166 166 936 9/98 - 07 GS0668 GS0666 Alfasud Alfasud 8/70 - 89 GS0139 Brera Brera 05 - 10 GS0953 GS0956 Giulietta Giulietta 940 4/10 - GS1554 GS1555 GT GT 125 03 - 10 GS0945 GS0952 GTV GTV 7/73 - 2/87 GS0140 GTV, left side U8 163 95 - 98 GS0954 GTV, right side U8 163 95 - 98 GS0954 GS0947 GTV, without rear spoiler W0 163 98 - 05 GS0954 GS0947 MiTo MiTo X6 08 - GS1255 Spider Spider, left side U7 163 95 - 98 GS0954 Spider, right side U7 163 95 - 98 GS0954 GS0947 Spider U9 163 98 - 06 GS0954 GS0947 Spider X5 06 - 10 GS0953 GS0955 2 GAS SPRINGS Front Spring Rear Spring Model Make and Model Year Type Part Notes Part Notes AUDI continued 80/90 80, without rear spoiler 81 4/84 - 8/86 GS0146 80, with rear spoiler 81 4/84 - 8/86 GS0147 80 / 90, without rear spoiler 89 9/86 - 8/91 GS0102 GS0148 80 / 90, with rear spoiler 89 9/86 - 8/91 GS0102 GS0149 80 B4 9/91 - 94 GS0101 GS0150 80, with rear spoiler B4 9/91 - 94 GS0101 GS0151 80 Avant B4 9/91 - 94 GS0101 GS0152 Cabriolet Cabriolet 8G7/B4 92 - 00 GS0101 Coupé Coupé 85 9/81 - 8/86 GS0106 GS0153 Coupé, without rear spoiler 89 8/88 - 12/95 GS0157 Coupé, with rear spoiler 89 8/88 - 12/95 GS0158 100 100 43 9/76 - 8/82 GS0103 100 44 9/82 - 4/85 GS0104 1) 100 44 4/85 - 11/90 GS0105 2) 100 Avant 44 9/82 - 4/85 GS0104 1) GS0154 100 Avant 44 4/85 - 11/90 GS0105 2) GS0154 100 C4 12/90 - 94 GS0108 9)53) GS0155 100 Avant C4 12/90 - 94 GS0108 9)53) GS0156 200 200 44 86 - 11/90 GS0105 2) 200 Avant 44 86 - 11/90 GS0105 2) GS0154 A1 A1, 3 doors, without panorama roof, with single spoiler 8X1 5/10 - GS1159 GS1559 A1, 3 doors, without panorama roof, with double spoiler 8X1 5/10 - GS1159 GS1560 A1, 3 doors, with panorama roof 8X1 5/10 - GS1159 GS1560 A1 Sportback, 5 doors 8XA 9/11 - GS1159 GS1561 A2 A2 8Z 2/00 - 05 GS0677 A3 A3 8L 9/96 - 5/03 GS0559 GS0160 A3 8P1 5/03 - 6/08 GS0908 64) GS0909 A3 8P1 7/08 - 3/13 GS1257 65) GS0909 A3 Cabriolet 8P7 4/08 - 5/13 GS1257 GS1258 A3 Sportback 8PA 9/04 - 6/08 GS0908 64) GS0910 A3 Sportback 8PA 7/08 - 3/13 GS1257 65) GS0910 A3 8V1 4/12 - GS1792 GS1793 A3 Cabriolet 8V7 10/13 - GS1792 GS1796 A3 Saloon 8VS 5/13 - GS1792 GS1795 A3 Sportback 8VA 9/12 - GS1792 GS1794 S3 Quattro 8P1 11/06 - 6/08 GS0908 64) GS0909 S3 Quattro 8P1 7/08 - 3/13 GS1257 65) GS0909 S3 Sportback Quattro 8PA 7/08 - 3/13 GS1257 GS0910 S3 Quattro 8V1 2/13 - GS1792 GS1793 S3 Cabriolet Quattro 8V7 5/14 - GS1792 GS1796 S3 Saloon Quattro 8VS 5/13 - GS1792 GS1795 S3 Sportback Quattro 8VA 5/12 - GS1792 GS1794 RS3 Saloon 8VS/8VM 5/13 - GS1792 GS1795 RS3 Sportback Quattro 8PA 1/11 - 3/13 GS1257 GS0910 RS3 Sportback Quattro 8VA 2/15 - GS1792 GS1794 3 GAS SPRINGS Front Spring Rear Spring Model Make and Model Year Type Part Notes Part Notes AUDI continued A4 A4 8D2/B5 95 - 10/00 GS0110 GS0159 A4 Avant 8D5/B5 95 - 10/00 GS0110 GS0160 A4 8E2/B6 11/00 - 11/04 GS0879 GS0957 A4 Avant 8E5/B6 11/00 - 11/04 GS0879 GS0881 A4 Cabriolet 8H 4/02 - 3/09 GS0879 GS0959 A4 8E6 11/04 - 10/07 GS0879 GS0914 A4 Avant 8ED 11/04 - 3/08 GS0879 GS0915 A4 8K2 11/07 - 12/15 GS0960 GS1735 A4 Avant, without power opening tailgate 8K5 4/08 - 12/15 GS0960 GS1260 A4 Avant, with power opening tailgate 8K5 4/08 - 12/15 GS0960 GS1259 A4 Allroad, without power opening tailgate 8KH 4/09 - 5/16 GS0960 GS1260 A4 Allroad, with power opening tailgate 8KH 4/09 - 5/16 GS0960 GS1259 A4 8W2 5/15 - GS1913 A4 Avant, without power opening tailgate 8W5 8/15 - GS1913 GS1917 A4 Avant, with power opening tailgate 8W5 8/15 - GS1913 GS1918 A4 Allroad, without power opening tailgate 8WH 1/16 - GS1913 GS1917 A4 Allroad, with power opening tailgate 8WH 1/16 - GS1913 GS1918 S4 Quattro 8D2/B5 10/97 - 9/01 GS0110 GS0159 S4 Avant Quattro 8D5/B5 10/97 - 9/01 GS0110 GS0160 S4 Quattro 8E2/B6 3/03 - 12/04 GS0879 GS0957 S4 Avant Quattro 8E5/B6 3/03 - 12/04 GS0879 GS0881 S4 Quattro 8E6 11/04 - 6/08 GS0879 GS0914 S4 Avant Quattro 8ED 11/04 - 6/08 GS0879 GS0915 S4 Quattro 8K2 11/07 - 12/15 GS0960 GS1735 S4 Avant Quattro, without power opening tailgate 8K5 3/09 - 12/15 GS0960 GS1260 S4 Avant Quattro, with power opening tailgate 8K5 3/09 - 12/15 GS0960 GS1259 S4 Quattro 8W2 5/16 - GS1913 S4 Avant Quattro, without power opening tailgate 8W5 5/16 - GS1913 GS1917 S4 Avant Quattro, with power opening tailgate
