REPORT ON AUDISANKARA PREMIER LEAGUE-2-CRICKET

The Audisankara Premier League-2 (APL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in Nellore(dt) contested during August of every year with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. A newly-introduced variant of cricket from the general one-day matches, APL cricket or Twenty20 cricket may be defined as a short cricket match limited to 20 overs of game play, lasting for about 80 minutes per innings, with half-an-hour interval in between. The Programme begins with the PRINCIPAL, welcoming the esteemed gathering and emphasized on the importance of sports in a child's life.

REPORT ON INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

The 70th INDEPENDENCE day is celebrated on 15 August in our institute ‘AUDISANKARA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY’. All the students assembled on the college ground at 8.30 am after some time the principal and other distinguished persons arrived. The principal unfurled the national flag. This was followed by our National anthem ‘jana gana mana’ sung by a team of students. Then the series of speeches started. The principal addressed the gathering. All department HOD’s also addressed about the gathering. Some students performed dance on national song. The programme ended with the distribution of sweets.

EPORT ON REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS

The Republic Day of India was celebrated with gaiety and patriotic fervor at Audisankara College of Engineering & Technology amidst the foggy morning of 26th January, 2018. The ceremony took place in the presence of Dr.A. Jagadesh, Director, ASGI, Prof. K. Dhanunjay, Principal ASCET and HoDs of various departments, faculty, staff members and students.

The ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Dr. T. Venumadhavv, Principal, ASIT. This was accompanied by the rendition of National Anthem led by the college’s students, staff. After National anthem Guest Dr.T.Venu Madhav addressed the crowd. The Director and Principal addressed the gathering and highlighted the achievements of the college. They underscored the steps the college has taken to ensure an overall development of its students and took pride in mentioning that the college is well ahead of the academic standards that are now being enforced by the government. They emphasized upon the quality education which would help in the development of the city and the country at large. They briefly discussed the issues that the nation is currently facing and urged everyone to unite and stand against them. The hour long ceremony culminated with the release of tri- coloured balloons.

REPORT ON RANGOLI COMPITITION

The student of ASCET, participated with fervor in the Rangoli Competition organised in connection with Sankranthi Celebrations, took place on January 11, 2018 in the college premises. The Director, Dr. A. Jagadeesh said, in these days students must come to know the true culture of India and by conducting these kinds of events will certainly let them know the culture of India and more over skills of aesthetics, creativity and innovation can be developed amongst them.

CONCLUSION:

ASCET proudly celebrated Rangoli Compition 11.01.2018. It is important for student-teachers to learn about, appreciate, and feel pride in one’s culture. Such events also encourage a sense of unity and harmony among the different cultures, art forms, and traditions of our country. Some of our students sang beautifully a folk song that reminded everyone of the rich cultural history of the state and country. Engineer’s day is celebrated every year on 15th September to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Vishweshvaraya. He was an Indian civil engineer and statesman and the 19th Diwan of Mysore, who served from 1912 to 1919. He received India's highest honor, Bharat Ratna, in 1955. AUDISANKARA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY celebrated Engineer’s Day on 15th September at Vivekananda hall. REPORT ON NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY

National Science Day is celebrated in Our Audisankara College every year on 28th of February. This day commemorates the invention of the Raman Effect by the great Indian physicist, Sir Chandra sekhara Venkata Raman. It was on this same day that Sir Raman made to the world his greatest invention, the Raman Effect, in the year 1928. He was awarded and honored in the year 1930 with the Nobel Prize in the Physics for his great success in the field of science in India.

The National Sports Day is celebrated on 29 August, on the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, who is regarded as nation's greatest hockey player of all time. National Sports Day is a public holiday celebrated in various countries to honour the national sports teams and sports traditions of those countries. To achieve a healthier lifestyle while coping with the pressures of studying, one needs to be healthy both emotionally and physically. As a part of this process, AUDISANKARA BASKET BALL TOURNAMENT emphasize the importance of sports. The goal of conducting sports activities is to make them physically & mentally fit to indicate a sense of sportsmanship, competitive spirit, leadership, cooperation and team spirit.

Awards will be given in sports events in deciding the champion team and overall best boy and best girl of team by the honorable chairman sir on the day itself.

DEPARTMENT OF CRICKET TOURNAMENT

The department of physical education is headed by G. Ravi Chandra, Physical Director. The department has sufficient supporting staff to help the students and faculty members in using fitness, sports and games facilities.

Management of ASCET, Gudur has identified Sports and Games is the priority area for budget allocation and development from the inception of College. We, the Management, Pricipal, Staff and Students of ASCET, GUDUR believe that a healthy and agile mind is the stepping stones of Sports and Games development. The Management of ASCET, Gudur every year organizing Sports Fest in the name of “GAMESCRIC” a National level corrival youth Festival.

The cricket tournament held in our institution with the students of various departments and years from Ist to IVth during 2017-18 at 8Am to 6PM to declare the winners regarding the participant teams. Match with 20overs for the teams to play.
