By Auntie M4Doro@ aol.com Here we go into the Holiday Season, starting things off with that creepy, ghoulish, Hal- loween with witches, warlocks, and freaky clowns, running amuck at all your favorite clubs and bars, brewing up drink specials in their cauldrons. So, for a “trick or a treat” check out what’s happening.Daylight savings time happens on Sunday, November 4th where you turn your clocks back one hour to have more time to party and have fun at your favorite watering hole. Sunday, November 11th is Veteran’s Day so take time and make sure you personally thank a Vet for their service, because of them, we have the freedoms we have. And then the biggest drinking night of the year is Wednesday, November 21st the night before Thanksgiving Day, when you go out and get your drunk on before getting together with their families, and stuff themselves with turkey and all the trimmings, watch football, and nap. Many bars will be open on Thanksgiving Day for those who don’t have an extended family, also to have drinks with your “other” family. Let’s see who’s having Halloween and Thanksgiving gigs, and parties around Metraland. LUBE with a room or locker rental. Then on Sunday, October 28th they’ll have “Pumpkin Carving” and they provide the carving tools. Wednesday, October 31st it’s “Briggs Horror Picture Show” break out your spiked high heels and practice your “sing-a-long” for the “HalloKween” tradition. Also they have some events coming up that might pike your inter- est, on Saturday, November 17th, its Tim and Rocco presents “THE FOG” their Ferndale parties are famous, remember what happens in the fog stays in the fog! Then on Thursday, November 22nd come down and join them for their “Thanksgiving Day” tradition. HAYLOFT SALOON (313-581-8913), will have a “HALLOWEEN BASH” on Friday, October 26th and Saturday, October 27th with a costume contest, and mysterious shot spe- cials. Also in conjunction with C. R. C. they’ll have their “HIBEARNATION PARTY” on Saturday, November 17th, with C.R.C. membership, passes and T-shirts giveaways, a 50/50 raffle, male entertainment with Wayne Fisher from 8pm until 2am and Gummy Bear shots with CLUB a DJ GOLDtoo! HOLLY- WOOD: Broadway and Film theme with Miss Amateur Club Gold Coast & Mister Gold Coast. Sunday, November 11th, Miss Club Gold Coast show time 10pm. Hosted by Crystal Harding and guest bartenders Michael Jaber, Shad & Tony Ham with DJ Marquis spins. FREE give- aways and $5.00 cover. Menjo’s will be kick- ing off Michigan’s biggest Toy drive the “ANNUAL TOY DRIVE” on Thursday, November 1st, and they are now accepting new unwrapped toy at Menjo’s and Gigi’s! On Saturday, November 3rd its “FLANNELFEST: 2018” wear your best/ worst flannel shirts and join the men for so autumn fun. Sunday, November 11th “Happy Birthday Bash” for Alex, Caleb and Tim’s Birthdays. Over at Olympus Theater it’s the Live Music Fall series on Nov, 3rd and Nov, 17th. November 9th, 10th, 11th its Michigan’s biggest BEAR event “BEAR EXPO IX: Fall Edition” on Saturday, Nov., 10th is the Main Event! Wednesday, Novem- ber 21st is the “8th Annual STUFFING Contest” and on Saturday, November 24th at the Eagle “MACHO CITY”. Join those hot and sweaty dancing men! Then coming up on December 7th & 8th it’s the “12 KINKS of Christmas.” Pontiac: LIBERTY BAR (248-758-0771), has some events coming up on Saturday, October 27th its “Naughty or Nice” Halloween Costume Contest. Then on Friday, November 9th & Saturday, November 10th something for the ladies and gentlemen who are into the leather scene or who are not, they’ll present the “Ms. LIBERTY” Leather Contest come and check out all the contestants and those in leather. Come down dressed in your favorite costume and enter to win cash prizes, all contestants must be present at the bar and entered by 11pm. Monday, Novem- ber 5th they’ll have “Harry Potter Trivia” from 8pm -10pm come show your knowledge and joy of the series. Anyone dressed in their Harry Potter gear get an additional $1 off their drink/ wine or beer. Who or which house will win the most points. Coming up on Friday, November 30th it’s “Men’s Health Fundraiser” featuring Mustache Mo’s. It’s a great way to show your support for local men’s health research through Spectrum Health. Food and fun to be had as you get your bread or dashing mustache trimmed and sculpted by Mo.
