The creative minds and legacies of South Seas Film & Television School, Animation College, Yoobee School of Design, AMES – The Institute of IT and Design and Arts (Canterbury) have joined forces to become Yoobee Colleges, an interdisciplinary college with seven campuses located throughout New Zealand.

These colleges all have rich histories, dating back 30 years in some cases, and have been working collaboratively for several years to offer complementary pathway programmes.

Each assessment focuses on learning outcomes specific to one of the four design contexts. There are no examinations.

Students who are interested in creative media but not sure which path to take should consider this course. It's a fun, practical way to explore the many study options available at Yoobee.

Design Foundation

Designed to meet the latest industry demands, this programme is the starting point for students looking to study graphic design, or web and UX design. The course combines a foundation in design principles with the technical skills for producing engaging work

Gain the core skills necessary for any designer and learn about current industry processes in the workplace.

Basic Skills in Makeup & Hairstyling

Begin by learning about skincare, face shapes, contouring, highlighting and base matching. As your skills improve, complete projects in natural, glamour, evening, male and mature makeup. Cover the basic fundamentals of hairstyling, basic blowdrying techniques, using hot styling equipment and get an introduction to the principles of photography.

Fashion Communication

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This module introduces you to the expression and communication of fashion. Learn about the fashion industry in New Zealand and internationally, and explore clothes, hair and makeup styling and photo shoots. Other topics include fashion styling, visual merchandising and marketing within a fashion context.
You must be 16 or over and have NCEA Level 2 or a New Zealand Certificate in Arts and Design Level 3, or equivalent. You will need to attend an interview and supply samples of creative work. If your first language is not English, you must have ITELTS 5.5 (General or Academic) with no band lower than 5.0.

Enter the industry, or study at a more advanced level of fashion design, such as our New Zealand Diploma in
Fashion (Level 5).

Garment Technology

Get an introduction to how garments are made, from a designer’s workroom to a larger-scale manufacturing process, as well as basic patternmaking, garment construction and textile knowledge across both women’s and men’s clothing.

Just bought & installed the game today and boy was i wondering how that Eunice Ortiz* guy (1st in almost all leaderboards) managed to make the leaderboard believe he finished 2-1 with just 153 dollars considering 1/4 of a horizontal road length is about 100 USD - and now i know. That really sucks, considering there are those few levels i'm positive i absolutely nailed and managed to cut every imaginable corner i could (and noticed) and i don't even get to 2000th place, while top positions are taken by people scoring ridiculously low budgets which couldn't even cover one tenth of required length of roads, sans support beams.
