ICE SKATING ASSOCIATION OF INDIA Ice Skating is a popular Olympic sport in European and American continents. It is practised and played regularly by youngsters. To give boost to ice skating games in India, Ice Skating Association of India was formed in March 2002 on the advice of Raja Randhir Singh, the then Secretary General of Indian Olympic Association. Ice Skating Association of India was registered with Registrar of Societies in year 2002. Since then the Ice Skating Association of India has pumped a lot of energy and enthusiasm in the ice skating fraternity of young girls and boys throughout the length and breadth of the country. Many roller skaters have adopted themselves as ice skaters and performing very well. I. Affiliation: 1. Affiliated Member of • IOA - Indian Olympic Association • ISU - International Skating Union, Switzerland • ASU - Asian Skating Union, South Korea 2. Registered with Registrar of Societies in the year 2002 in Delhi. II. Aims & Objectives: 1. To encourage and promote physical fitness, character building and spirit of adventure both for men and women through Ice Skating sport. 2. To promote, develop, regulate, organize and control Ice Skating sport in India. 3. To hold various competitions for men, women, boys and girls (both senior and junior) as may be decided by the ISAI. 4. To organize and hold coaching and training and refresher courses, camps for participants, referees and coaches for promotion of the Ice Skating game. 5. To arrange and sponsor participation of National and other teams in the International competitions. 6. To arrange representation of India in National and International events.
