Meet the Team Dates Locations & Visas Who Meet The Team Dates Locations & Visas Who can participate Le Cheile Hoc Meeting Pre & Post Moot Trail Overview Packing essentials IST World Scout Jamboree Sign Up Now Meet the team Dates Locatons & vizas Dates of the 16th World Scout Moot Monday 19th July - Thursday 29th July 2021 Location The Moot’s entry point (a Dublin City Centre location) and departure point (Malahide Castle) are both in Dublin. Malahide Castle is close to Dublin Airport, and approx.15 km from Dublin city centre, where Dublin Port is located, from which there are numerous daily ferries to the UK. We expect 6000 people to attend World Scout Moot 2021. This will be made up of 5,000 participants and an International [email protected] Service Team complement of 750 – 1000. Based on this [email protected] figure,the maximum size of any one contingent can be 600 [email protected] people including participants, International Service Team and [email protected] Contingent Management Team. Visas [email protected] Ireland is part of the European Union, but participants and IST [email protected] from some countries will require a visa to enter ireland. To see if [email protected] you need to apply for a visa and what type, please click here [email protected] http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/inis/pages/check-irish-visa Who can participate Who can participate The World Scout Moot is an international event for young people 18 - 25 years of age who are members of a National Scouting Organisation affiliated with WOSM or aW AGGGS affiliated organisation. Each country attending the Moot organises and sends a national contingent,comprised of all registered participants and IST members from that country. This means that individuals or small groups of Scouts cannot register directly with the Moot organizing team,but must instead register via their National Scouting Organisation. Only one contingent per country is permitted. Each National Scouting Organisation is responsible for all members of it’s contingent. Girl Guides and Girl Scouts who are members of an association belonging to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) may attend the Moot with the consent of the Na- tional Scouting Organisation of their respective country. Each contingent consists of participants, International Service Team (IST) members and contingent management staff. The maximum number of participants per contingent is 500, as well as 100 IST and contingent management staff. Also,no contingent may have more IST and contin- gent management staff than it has participants. Age Range Participants: On the first day of the Moot (19th July 2021), participants must be at least 18 years old, and must be under 26 years of age. Therefore they must have been born between 20th July 1995 and 19th July 2003. The theme for this Moot is le chéile (leh kay-la) which translates to ‘together’. There is International service team IST must be at least 26 years of an old saying in the Irish language; “ní neart go cur le chéile” which means “there is no age on 19th July 2021, e.g. their date of birth must be 19th strength without unity”. The Moot will bring together thousands of Rovers from across July 1995 or earlier. Participation is via a national contin- gent and all bookings are completed through the NSO and the world, to share cultures, learn from each other and gain new skills. Our programme appointed Contingent Leader. is based on collaboration allowing us to be inclusive, educational and adventurous. Our Photographers were out and about at all the Scout Events which took place in beautiful Weather. We Feature all the goings on at Camp One – Patrols in control. This was a camp to rembember ran by the Patrol Leaders. We also travel to Northern Spain to follow the explorer Belt teams as they completed their challenge.. Also at the end of the month the Venture scouts took to the roads and lakes around the Midlands to participate in the Venture Scout Challenge 2013. Also our Rover Scouts had the official launch of the World Scout Moot contigent which are all set to head to Canada to attend this event. This is no small achievement and sets us apart in leading the way for other youth organisations at home and abroad to aspire to. Scouting Ireland, this year, set out its sincere and warranted organisational apology to all those who were hurt as members of the legacy Scout organisations that came before Scouting Ireland. We continued to listen to those survivors of abuse who wished to talk to us.
