Maker is an area of outstanding beauty that is an incredibly important place for many people. It is a thriving social hub for musicians and artists with The Canteen, Maker Camping, Random Arms and the Energy Room providing a welcoming environment for all. Maker Camp was set up in the 1920s by Virginia House Settlement and holds an important place in collective memory for the many thousands of school children from Plymouth who holidayed there.
