1 sheet of plain white paper scrap of , or similar assorted scraps of scrapbook paper 1 yard of perle cotton, or baker’s twine pre-made card 4 1/4 by 5 1/2-inches (A2), or similar to fit card white regular round paper punch Erik’s Tip copy of tags (from Template Page) Use the blank tags on the Template hexagon template (from Template Page), or Medium hexagon punch Page to make a card for whatever glue stick, or glue tape pencil occasion you would like! Scissors, and pinking shears (optional)

Use photos and layout diagram on the Template Page (Page 2) as a guide throughout

Copy the Template Page onto white cardstock making sure that the hexagon template is the correct size once printed.

Measure and cut the white paper into a strip 3-inches wide by 11-inches, using pinking shears and photo as a guide. Fold the strip in half. Center and glue the strip over the fold trimming overhanging ends as necessary. Cut news paper into a strip 1 1/2 by 11-inches. Glue to left side of white strip, overlapping by a tiny bit.

Using template as a guide, or use small hexagon punch, cut several (about 20) hexagons from scrap papers. Glue hexagons across white strip on front of card, leaving a small space between each hexagon (about 1/8-inch) as shown. Fold top hexagons over the fold and glue to the back of card.

Cut out tags and punch a hole where indicated. Tie a small length of perle cotton or baker’s twine through each hole; trim ends. Following photo, glue Thank You tag to the outside of card.

For the inside lining, measure and trim remaining plain white paper with pinking shears, to fit in the inside of card, leaving about 1/4-inch margin all around. Fold paper in half and glue to inside of card. Glue prepared tag to inside of card. Cut a small strip of newspaper and glue to lower edge of paper. Do the same to the upper edge, if desired. Tie a length of perle cotton around the fold; trim ends. of the Month-January
