My Vision Is a Dream MY VISION IS A DREAM My dream was to create a community that thrives and flourishes on love, harmony, social responsibility, human dignity and decency. A place deeply rooted in history, culture, dance and music. My life is a story of passion, I am a giver by nature. I wanted to give my fellow humans the ultimate living experience and quality of life. In an oasis of magnificent scented gardens, shimmering lakes, 2 3 lily-filled ponds and streams. A celebration of nature in its ultimate form. Living in homes of unrivalled and unchallenged quality, a space and place for the heart and soul. What we give you today is indeed very rare, and the result of years of hard work, sweat, tears, pain and joy but in the end we prevailed. What we created here is a celebration of the human spirit, determination and fulfillment of a dream. What we have achieved came from the heart of a passionate, perfectionist and loving family. • The Dubai Logistics Cluster
THE DUBAI LOGISTICS CLUSTER Alanood Bin Kalli, Camila Fernandez Nova, Hanieh Mohammadi, Yasmin Sanie-Hay, Yaarub Al Yaarubi MICROECONOMICS OF COMPETITENESS COUNTRY OVERVIEW The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a federation of seven emirates, each governed by its own monarch. The seven Emirates - Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm al-Quwain - jointly form the Federal Supreme Council, which chooses a president every five years. Since independence from Britain in 1971, the ruler of Abu Dhabi has been elected as the president, while the ruler of Dubai has been elected as the Vice President and Prime Minister. Abu Dhabi serves as the capital and each emirate enjoys a high degree of autonomy. The country is strategically located in the Middle East, bordering the Persian Gulf, the Arabian Sea, Oman and Saudi Arabia. It occupies a total area of 83,600 km2 with around 1,318 km of coastline1. The population is estimated to be 9.3 million in 2015 with only 13% nationals2. UAE Economic Performance The UAE is an oil rich country, with most of its oil and gas production coming from Abu Dhabi. The country was ranked eighth worldwide in terms of oil and gas production in 2012 and seventh in terms of reserves3. Since the UAE’s establishment, oil revenues have been used strategically to develop basic infrastructure and provide UAE citizens with government services including subsidized utilities, free education, and medical services. As a result of oil price fluctuation, the country has understood the importance of diversifying away from this resource and started to develop its petrochemical sector.

Harga bagus!” Had he stayed around a little longer, he might have added, “… in Dubai.” The emirate is not only one of the world’s great shopping locations, it’s also at the pointy end of a powerful consumer trend: the rise of the “shopping hotel.” The growth of combined shopping malls and deluxe hotels either inside or adjoining them will be one of the Middle East’s top consumer developments in 2014 and beyond, predicts the market intelligence firm Euromonitor. Many cashed-up travelers come to Dubai primarily to shop. Stay at the mall and they save time and taxi rides. And they don't have to lug all those glossy shopping bags back to their hotel. The arrangement is just as sweet for hoteliers and retailers. Both seek the same high-end traveling clientele -- why not share them? Mall-hotel combos already exist in Dubai from the utilitarian to the seriously luxurious. However, even more lavish couplings are on the drawing board -- including the world’s tallest hotel-shopping extravaganza.
