Ultimate Burma Yachts 8-DAYS / 7-NIGHTS – PHUKET TO LANGKAWI From Phuket, embark on a journey to the Thai islands of Phang Nga Bay with breathtaking geography comprising hundreds of steep limestone islands rising vertically from crystal seas, creating a maritime playground like no other. The charter will culminate at the neighbouring island group of Langkawi in Malaysia. THAILAND’S SOUTHERN ISLANDS From the bustling shores of Phuket, where towering rainforests and coconut plantations meet glitzy marinas, to a treasure chest of jewel-like islands dotted across the Andaman Sea, Southern Thailand provides a tropical getaway that is thoroughly worthy of its popularity. There’s Krabi with its beach bars, the Koh Phi Phi islands (the notorious setting for the “The Beach”), Koh Lanta’s laid-back charm and Koh Lipe’s paradisiac shores to discover. Far from the busy coastline, Thailand’s southern islands are fringed with some of the country’s most pristine coral reefs, and the underwater geography here attracts all manner of marine life. LANGKAWI The largest isle in an archipelago of over a hundred islands, Langkawi calls to mind white sandy shores and jungle-clad valleys. While spas, restaurants and beach bars abound, Langkawi has not been so developed that visitors can’t discover its prolific beauty. Outside the beachside Pantai Cenang, there are ample authentic villages, tumbling waterfalls, forests and hot springs. www.ultimate-burma-yachts.com Ultimate Burma Yachts SAMPLE ITINERARY DAY 1: PHUKET TO KOH HONG & PHANG NGA BAY Upon arrival, you will be met by a representative and transferred to the harbour to board your private yacht. After a safety briefing, you can relax on deck with a welcome drink as the yacht sets sail into the Phang Nga Bay, stopping at Koh Hong (Room Island). Koh Hong’s Pelay beach is framed by limestone, where during high tide, speed boats are able to enter the “room” and visitors can swim in crystal clear water about a metre deep. Phang Nga Bay is made up of karstic islands that became the symbol of Phuket worldwide after appearing in James Bond film “The Man with the Golden Gun”, and these islands can be enjoyed by speedboat or kayak. The yacht will moor here overnight. DAY 2: KRABI This morning we’ll sail to Le Rai Beach nearby Ao Nang, one of Krabi’s most beautiful coves. Le Rai is famous for its sunsets, sometimes accompanied by spectacular display of cloud to cloud lightning over the Andaman Sea. Many shops, restaurants and bars line the shore along this popular bay. The yacht will moor here overnight. www.ultimate-burma-yachts.com Ultimate Burma Yachts DAY 3: PHI PHI DON & LEI The “Koh Dam Kwan” islands - Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Lei - are extremely picturesque with crater like bays and towering cliffs plunging into crystal clear water. This where the film “The Beach” starring Leonardo Di Caprio was shot. Hill tops are scalable and offer a perfect view of the bays before sunset. Towards the end of the afternoon, we’ll cruise to Koh Rachai to moor overnight. DAY 4: KOH LANTA Today we will cruise to the island of Koh Lanta, with its mile-long beaches and small rocky islets that surround a well preserved marine conservation area. Koh Lanta has a few low-key resorts and beach bars for those wishing to spend some time on land, while nearly 70 small islands in the region can also be explored. DAY 5: KOH ROK NOK & ROK NOI Today we’ll continue south to the Koh Rok Nok twin isles. As part of the Mu Koh Lanta Marine Park, these islands are protected areas and have some of best snorkelling in this part of Thailand. The narrow channel that separates these islands is the perfect spot to observe soft and hard corals with an average depth of just 5 metres. The yacht will moor overnight in Rok Nok. www.ultimate-burma-yachts.com Ultimate Burma Yachts DAY 6 - 7: KOH LIPE This southerly sail will take about 5 hours, and it’s a wonderful chance to relax and enjoy the pristine scenery from up on deck. Koh Lipe is a small island on the verge of the Tarutao National Park, which consists of 51 islands and small islets and was originally home to a Malaysian Sea Gypsy settlement. Wild boars, civet cats, hornbills, monitor lizards, python and cobra are commonly spotted in the park at dusk, while the park’s crystal clear water and coral rimmed beaches offer excellent snorkelling. DAY 8: LANGKAWI, MALAYSIA Today, the yacht will enter Malaysian waters and the crew will assist you with disembarking and transferring to the airport for your flight home in Telaga Marina after clearing in with local authorities.
