LOTS OF LATKES, DREIDELS & SWEET TREATS Residents at Madison Estates enjoyed celebrations for Hanukah this year with a visit from Heintz Preschoolers from Congregation Agudas Achim who performed songs, ate donuts and created crafty snowflakes with them. A huge crowd of residents gathered in the Casual Cafe of Adante Senior Living to sing songs with volunteers from Temple Beth-El, play dreidel, and eat latkes, cookies, and jelly- filled donut holes at a party hosted by SAJSS. SAJSS also took the festivities to Franklin Park Sonterra where Rabbi Jeffrey Abraham led some songs, blessings and bit of Hanukah history. The residents there tasted latkes, and many non-Jewish residents even joined in for some dreidel spinning! Additionally, as part of the Yad B'Yad Intergenerational Program, which is partially funded by a grant from SAJSS, Heintz Preschoolers performed Hanukah songs at Agudas Achim for their families and then had a light lunch together after.
