It is advertised as a light piano, but the arrangement is completely unplayable for an intermediate piano student. The melody isn't hard, but it jumps around and aligns it in 6s and then call it easily idiotic. This arrangement is completely counter intuitive and does not provide an easy solution for fingerings. I'm sure sorry Alfred will be investing in some creative and artistic arrangers and not continue to pump out this common crap that seems to have erupted on his computer. Very disappointed. Since its release back in 2012 as the first single of Australian artist Vance Joy's debut EP , God Loves You When You're Dancing, Riptide has become one of the most popular hits of the decade. There is also a touch of irony in the fact that, despite the clearly dark content of the song, it was able to garner huge popularity among schoolchildren and young teens. In fact, the song is almost regularly sing by children during school concerts and functions. However, it is not difficult to assess the cause of this. The song contains a simple and catchy melody, which is easy to pick up plus a steady, sluggish rhythm that has the power of immediate arrest of the listener's attention. Riptide Piano Chords Song is also very popular among entry-level guitarists, keyboardists and piano learners. And this is due to the fact that throughout the verses, choir and bridge, the song uses the same melody and the melody consists of no more than four main chords - Am, G, C and F. Also, the chords (Am, G, C, C) is homogeneous on all the songs, the songs, exception from the part of the bridge where the F chord makes its way. And these chords and chords remain the same regardless of whether you're playing a song on guitar, keyboard or piano. In fact, this simplicity of the chords of the song explains the fact that during the preparation of the song Vance played it on a ukulele, not on a guitar or piano! Let's look at the first verse and pre-chorus, so you can have a better idea of it: Verse 1 am G C C I was afraid of dentists and dark Am G C C I was afraid of beautiful girls and starting conversations Am G C C Oh, all my friends are turning green Am G C You assistant magician in your sleeps, oooooo Am G C (support) and they come unstuck And all the other songs followed by this same steady chord progression, except for just the bridge that goes like this: Bridge Am Am G G I just want, I just want to know C F F If you're going to if you're going to stay am am G G I just need to, I just have to know C C (F) I can't have it , I can't have it any other way (Am) (G) (C) I swear it's designed for the screen (Am) (G) The closest thing to Michelle Pfeiffer (C) What you've ever seen, So, you can see for yourself how easy it would be to play Riptide piano chords and with the melody remains unchanged throughout the course, it will help your singing abilities, too. Many critics praised the song's clever and ambiguous lyrics. According to Vance himself, the song grew more like a quirky mish-mash of ideas rather than following any coherent and easy-to-follow storyline. The content of the first verse speaks of a shy-ish boy lacking the flair and confidence to swing conversations with a beautiful girl. According to the artist, the first two lines came to him back in 2008, but he could not go on with the song at the time. Gradually ideas developed, and the song (both lyrics and melody) was finally finished in 2012, four long years after pregnancy. Many biographical references (like assistant magician Vance met while writing the song) found their way into the song as if on their own. Similarly, the reference to Michel Pfeiffer was not caused by any particular stampede or obsession of the famous actress. It again just happened to the songwriter and thus Fifefer made his way into the song. Lyrics, according to the artist, was rather a patch different ideas and words were put together mostly at random. In other words, on the part of the artist there was no conscious effort to link any particular story or experience through the lyrics. Just as soon as the song got together, it sounded right and as such, Vance decided to go further. This unconscious approach is partly evident in the many pop-cultural references that are in the song. For example, it is impossible not to remember the cult film Midnight Cowboy, hearing the lines that talk about a man /cowboy quit his job to come to New York ... And so on.
