TOTAL RECALL: My unbelievably true life story. By Arnold Schwarzenegger

Born in Thal, Austria, this is the story of his life in his own words. From Mr Universe to Governor, a movie‐ star, a family man and a man with a secret that would rock his family’s world. This is a good read and you can find it in Biographies on the first floor. 979.4 SCH

Sebastian Faulk's novel, A Possible Life, is not in fact a single story, but a collage of five separate chronicles. Each story is very different, set in Britain, Europe and USA, and feature very diverse characters including a young boy abandoned by his impoverished parents, a highly successful female academic and a popular Anglo American musician. The common thread is that no matter what social status, life was never meant to be easy. the strength of the book is in the versatility of the writing, conveying very authentically, the mood and dialogue of such contrasting stories.
