SUBHAS SARKAR: Will the Minister of COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY be pleased to state: वाणि煍य एवं उद्योग मंत्री (a) whether the Government has specified Bankura of West Bengal as ‘A’ Category and Purulia as ‘B‘ Category industrially backward districts and if so, the details thereof; (b) the details of investment subsidy, sales tax exemption, etc. provided by the Government for setting up units in these areas so far; (c) the details of initiatives taken by the Government so far for development of industrial estates and related infrastructure in these areas; and (d) the details and the number of industries/ MSMEs which have been set up in these districts in the last three years? ANSWER वाणिजय‍ ‍एवं‍उद्योग मंत्रालय‍मᴂ‍राजयमंत्री‍ ‍(श्री सोम‍प्रकाश)‍‍ THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY (SHRI SOM PARKASH) (a)to(c): Sir, Government of West Bengal has classified developed areas and backward areas into A, B, C, D and E zones ,under the scheme of ‘Banglashree for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Districts of Bankura and Purulia of West Bengal fall under Zone D. Please refer Gazette Notification No. 1543/MSMET-18011/1/2020 dated 22nd July, 2020 of Government of West Bengal. An eligible micro or small enterprise, located in Zone D, is entitled to State Capital Investment subsidy as mentioned in above mentioned Gazette Notification. (d) : A list of total MSMEs registered in the last three years in Bankura and Purulia is annexed.
