Within the framework of this programme technical specifications and directions to be followed for the proper design of hydraulic plasters “friendly” to man and the environment were drafted. 1999-2003 Reproduction of Hydraulic Lime Plasters and Mortars Based on the Technology of the Production of Cyprus Ancient Plaster and Mortars (code: RPF 34/99) Funding Agency Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation (€70 000) Role in the programme: Principal Investigator and Project Coordinator Collaborators: University of Cyprus; D, ANADOMI Co. Short description: This project was a multidisciplinary research programme (participation of a physicist, an archaeologist, a geologist, a chemist, a civil engineer, an architect and others). The aim of the programme was the reproduction of hydraulic lime plasters on the basis of the technological knowledge for the preparation of plasters and mortars in antiquity.
