They had fought against the Saxons at the Battle of Hastings in 1066.

Barnack Parish Council has carried out a survey and identified 34 properties in the historic core of the village that might be ‘at risk’ from the installation of solar panels that could harm the character and appearance of the Barnack conservation area. The Post Box relocation is being processed by Jim Daley and Royal Mail.
