SURPASSING 200: Sanchez ended the 2013 season with 202 strikeouts, to surpass the 200-or-more mark for the second time in his career. His only other season with more than 200 strikeouts was 2011 when he also fanned 202 batters with the Marlins.

JOINS FELLER WITH FIVE LOW-HIT GAMES IN FIRST 155: Sanchez fired a one-hitter in his outing on May 24th, 2013 against the , marking the fourth one-hitter of his major league career to go along with his no-hitter on September 6, 2006 versus Arizona. The outing was the 155th of his career and he joined as one of just two since at least 1916 to record five complete games allowing one hit-or-fewer in the first 155 games of their major league career. Feller also posted one no-hitter and four one-hitters during that span, recording his fifth with a one-hitter in the 139th game of his career on July 12, 1940 at Shibe Park against the Philadelphia Athletics.

HISTORIC STRIKEOUT PERFORMANCE VERSUS ATLANTA: Sanchez recorded 17 strikeouts over eight shutout innings in his outing on April 26, 2013 against the , establishing the franchise record for strikeouts in a single game.
