RISING LUCKY CRICKET STAR

by Suzanne Jones, MID-AMERICA REAL ESTATE – MINNESOTA, LLC

IF YOU HAVEN’T HEARD THE BUZZ ABOUT ANDREW ZIMMERN’S NEW RESTAURANT CREATION, LUCKY CRICKET, THEN YOU MIGHT BE LIVING UNDER A ROCK. No really, it’s all the buzz! Chef Zimmern has brought his brilliant culinary idea full circle and might I add, it is sure to be a huge success. The menu is a complication of his favorites he has come to love during his travels throughout as well as his fond childhood memories in New York. But don’t expect overly crazy items you might find on an episode of Bizarre Foods which one may only consume on a dare like maybe some “un-lucky” crickets. He plans on bringing authentic Chinese cuisine that all will enjoy, with dim sum dishes, shareable portions, noodles, rice, and specialty drinks; planting it all into a very cool and unique restaurant vibe. The hand painted Chinese dragon on the lounge/bar floor, the front door handle which replicates Andrew’s round framed eye glasses, and the Polynesian themed Tiki Bar, all designed by Shea Design, truly brought Zimmern’s vision full circle.

I had a chance to visit the Lucky Cricket during their first day of service (November 19th) and what a great experience it was. When you first walk in, the abundance of style and thoroughly thought out design is apparent. No stone was left unturned in the making of Lucky Cricket. The reto style bar stools at the Tiki bar, a small hut for guests to sit while they wait for their Working directly across the West End certainly has had its perks table, and the Tuk Tuk car were a few of my favorite touches. Our and now there’s even more reason to meander over for a lunch server Mohamad had a truly excited upbeat persona about him and break or happy hour for some of those specialty tiki cocktails! I helped us choose items off the menu. Let me tell you, the food did highly suggest you take a trip to The Shops at West End in St. Louis not disappoint! My favorite from our table was the Sheng Jian Bao. Park and experience it for yourself, who knows, you just might spy Already planning my next visit to try more off the menu. Andrew Zimmern there.
