The proposed project entails the construction of a residential community consisting of 43 single family residential lots as well as two 40-unit apartment complexes with accompanying roadway improvements and parking. The proposed project is subject to review under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), requiring that an archaeological survey of the proposed area of potential effects (APE) be carried out ahead of project implementation and permitting. The survey carried out by ASCC included background research as well as surface and subsurface investigations of the proposed project area. No cultural resources were identified at any point of investigation and therefore ASCC is recommending that no further archaeological work is necessary before development of the proposed project area commences.
