During the recent crisis, our primary concern has been to take care of our parishioners’ immediate needs. We called all of our parishioners, starting with our senior members. We then arranged grocery deliveries, cared for sick parishioners, and provided for emergency needs. Even with our focus on “people first,” our work with the building project continued with the architects conducting design workshops and the parish staff facilitating upcoming construction. Because this project is essential to our future, we are continuing with the planning, permitting, and groundwork to make our combined vision a Parishioners are always our priority! New Project will Address Campus Water Challenges

Regular flooding throughout our campus, and even in some buildings, is a challenge the parish has endured for some time. This is, of course, due to the elevation changes in our neighborhood. Finding solutions is a priority. Moore Bass Consulting, our civil engineering firm, is coordinating with our architects for the optimal design to improve the situation. We moved forward with part of the solution in May when, with the assistance of some generous parishioners, we acquired land contiguous to our campus. This property is where some of the water challenges originate. The Diocese made a generous financial contribution for the purchase, and we thank Bishop Wack for the Heavy rain on July 24, 2018 resulted in assistance! flooding throughout campus.

Newly acquired property will help us to address flooding on campus.

Capital Campaign

Our well-attended capital campaign leadership receptions were held just as the virus crisis was beginning to affect our community. Initial pledge packets were distributed to those who attended and I am happy to report that we have received a number of generous pledges and donations for the campaign. As things return to normal, we will be reaching out to you regarding your involvement. Your commitment will make the project possible as we go forward! I have already made my pledge and look forward to you joining me as we make the project a success.
