Duties: student discipline, assessed instructional needs of students, developed school- wide curriculum strands, served as liaison for special community events, primary decision maker in the absence of other assigned administrators, participant in school-based management meetings and developments. FEDERAL COURT INTERPRETER/TRANSLATOR (1980 - 1988). Translator/interpreter for the US Federal Courts in the Northern District of Florida. Duties include oral and written interpretation and translation from Spanish to English and English to Spanish. Modality included both simultaneous and consecutive translations for all court proceedings.

SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHER (June 1973 -December 1974). National School System of the Republic of Panama/Ministry of Education, Division of Secondary Education. Served as a certified teacher for English as a Second Language for young adults and adults. Other duties included the coordination of extra curricular activities to integrate the activities of the school with the home and the community. Served on special committees to develop supplementary didactic materials for classroom use at the school level.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER (May 1967 - October 1972). National School System of the Republic of Panama/Ministry of Education, Division of Elementary Education. Served as a certified classroom teacher at various grade levels (K-6). The duties of the position included teaching all elementary subjects including English as a Second Language/Bilingual Education; coordination of activities related to the Parent-Teacher Association, Community Related Festivals and other activities; coordination of the development of curriculum and instructional materials at the school level, and pupil services.

Co-Principal Investigator and co-director (June 2006 – June 2007). Sponsored by UNCFSP and USAID. The purpose of the project is to promote curriculum development for preservice teachers through a partnership between Fort Valley, FAMU, Universidade do Estado da Bahia in Brazil, and Universidade do San Carlos, Brazil. Funded at $70,000.00 plus in-kind contributions.
