This cover was created with the Scenic Construction Department. A theatre set is constructed by a team of highly skilled tradesmen such as carpenters and metal workers. They work from technical drawings to replicate the 1:25 scale model from the set designer. To achieve this, they draw upon an extensive range of materials including timber, plastics and metal. Once this build process has been completed, the set is then passed on to the Scenic Art team who transform these 020 7452 3000 ordinary materials into anything from exotic timbers to marble staircases and brick walls. nationaltheatre.org.uk
