    SPIRIT OF CRICKET GLOBAL CHALLENGE Sydney, Australia, 7–14 January 2018 EVENT Details The Spirit of Cricket Global Challenge is a competition initiated by SCG Cricket aimed at promoting the spirit of the game and celebrating the many friendships built through it. It will bring together many of the most prestigious and renowned for an event to be held in Sydney from the 7th until the 14th of January 2018 when cricket in Sydney will be buzzing with Australia and England competing for the coveted Ashes and the excitement of the BBL & WBBL will be in full swing. The competition will comprise of both a Men’s and Women’s draw, with the first SCG XI Women’s side set to be unveiled at the beginning of the competition. Competitors include: Marylebone Singapore SCG XI Cricketer’s Club Cricket Club Cricket Club of India Hong Kong SACA Singalese Izingari Cricket Club Cricket Club Spirit of Cricket Global Challenge • Sydney, Australia, 7-14 January 2018 3 SQUAD Requirements • Each squad must nominate a tournament liaison manager who will deal with all communication in the lead up to and throughout the duration of the event. • It is requested that each squad advises as to whether they will be bringing an umpire and/or a scorer as part of their touring party. • It is requested that teams try to stay together during the competition in order to ensure logistical arrangements work without complication. • Playing standard: 30-50 years old with experience at a reasonable level of cricket with the hope that each team will include 2/3 former first class cricketers and 4-5 former/current premier grade players.
