The Winslow and District priorities

One of the major tasks for the LAF is to determine pri- orities for the local area plan. Forthcoming meetings will be focussing on addressing the identified local priorities for the area.

A workshop was held to refresh the local area priorities during the Local Area Forum Meeting on 8 December 2015.

Members were provided with the outcome of a survey of residents which asked for views on the previous pri- orities and for suggestions for new ones. Members also considered demographic and other data about the local area, as well as work which had been carried out already to address the previous priorities. Members then agreed to adopt the current priorities.

The priorities are split into:

Workable priorities, those that the LAF can work on locally.

Strategic priorities, those that are more strategic and therefore the LAF has to influence through lobbying dif- ferent services and organisations.

Workable Priorities

Building up the capacity of the community to add value to people's lives e.g. support for young people, older people and vulnerable people.

Transport e.g. traffic calming and community transport.
