EPA Export 26-07-2013:02:25:07 SITE NOTICE APPLICATION TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY FOR A WASTE WATER DISCHARGE LICENCE Applicant: Mayo County Council, Áras an Chontae, The Mall, Castlebar, County Mayo. Mayo County Council intends to apply to the Environmental Protection Agency for a Waste Water Discharge Licence, in accordance with the Waste Water Discharge (Authorisation) Regulations 2007 for the discharge from the Belmullet Waste Water Treatment Plant and Agglomeration. The Belmullet Waste Water Treatment Plant comprises of the existing collection network, along with proposed upgrades and construction of a wastewater treatment plant in the townlands of Belmullet, Corclogh and Tallagh. This application relates to the following existing discharges; Primary Outfall SW1 (P), Broadhaven Bay (705,99E, 332,395N), Secondary SW2, Blacksod Bay (701,44E, 331,988N), Stormwater Overflow SW3, Blacksod Bay (701,34E, 332,282N) and SW4, Broadhaven Bay (705,99E, 332,395N). This application relates to the following proposed discharges; Primary SW5 (P), Blacksod Bay (709,64E, 330,386N), Secondary SW6, Blacksod Bay (701,34E, 332,888N), and SW7, Broadhaven Bay (705,99E, 332,395N). For inspection purposes only. Consent of copyright owner required for any other use. The proposed Waste Water Treatment Plant is to be located on the Toorglass Road, Corclogh (714,30E, 330,617N). The proposed Waste Water Treatment Plant will use biological processes in conjunction with physical settling and chemical dosing to remove the pollutants from the influent and treat it to the standard set out in Urban Wastewater Treatment Regulations 2001. Effluent is to be discharged into Blacksod and Broadhaven Bays. A copy of the application and information related to the application will be available for inspection or purchase at the headquarters of the Agency and at the offices of Mayo County Council, Áras an Chontae, The Mall, Castlebar, County Mayo as soon as is practicable after receipt. Submissions in relation to the application may be made to the Agency at its headquarters: Environmental Protection Agency, Johnstown Castle Estate, Co. Wexford.
