Who am I?

In the early 1300’s, when the English invaded and were going to destroy the walls of Dykes, the king called for some one to stop the raid until he had time to mass his forces. I volunteered, and succeeded in stopping the English with less than four hundred men. As a reward of my service to the king, the motto Instaurator Ruinae (Restorer of the Ruins) was approved and granted to my family for its invaluable services at the battle of Dykes. I built Castle Dykes around 1350, and became feudal Baron of Dykes and the first lord of Castle Dykes. My family occupied Dykes for two and three-quarter centuries. Who am I? (See Answer Below.) A Wee Bit of Scottish Humour

After discovering that they had won 15 million pounds in the Lottery, Mr. and Mrs. Forsyth sat down to discuss their future. Mrs. Forsyth announced, "After twenty years of washing other people's stairs, I can throw my old scrubbing brush away at last." Her husband agreed - "Of course you can, hen. We can easily afford to buy you a new one now."

It is said that all Scots have a sense of humour - because it is a free gift! Share the gift with our cousins. Let’s Have Another Family Reunion in Scotland

Answer to Who Am I? Robert de Forsyth II , one of the great military leaders of Scotland, who later became the governor of Castle about 1360 .

It has been said that there are only two kinds of people in this world—those who are Scottish, and those who wish they were Scottish. Take pride in your Scottish heritage and in the distinguished name of Forsyth.
