More than 1.91 Cr balance and unutilized doses still available with States/UTs and private hospitals to be administered

More than 39.46 crore (39,46,94,020) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far, through all sources and a further 12,00,000 doses are in the pipeline.

Of this, the total consumption including wastages is 37,55,38,390 doses (as per data available at 8 AM today).

More than 1.91 Cr (1,91,55,630) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs and private hospitals to be administered.

The Prime Minister, Shri today interacted with Chief Ministers of the North-Eastern states on COVID-19 situation. The interaction was attended by the Chief Ministers of Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Assam. The Chief Ministers thanked the Prime Minister for timely action in handling the Covid pandemic. They appreciated his special care and concern for the North-East States. Apart from the Chief Ministers, Union Ministers for Home, Defence, Health, DONER and other Ministers were present during the interaction.

The Chief Ministers briefed about the progress of vaccination in their states and steps that are being taken to take vaccines to far flung areas. They also discussed the issue of vaccine hesitancy and measures being taken to overcome it. They gave an account of improvement in medical infrastructure to better tackle Covid cases and the support lent through the PM CARES Fund. 15.30 LMT free food grains lifted by 31 States/UTs for distribution under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana -IV 78.26 LMT free food grains lifted by all 36 States/ UTs under PMGKAY-III

To ensure smooth supply of grains, FCI is transporting food grains to all States/UTs across the country 4005 food grain rakes have been loaded by FCI since 1st April 2021

The is running the longest ever exercise of distributing free food grains to the people during COVID-19 pandemic time to ensure food security. Central Government has extended Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana for 5 months i.e.July-November 2021and further allocation of 198.79 LMT food grains have been made under PMGKAY-IV (July-November 2021). Under PMGKAY-IV (July-November 2021), lifting has been started by 31 States i.e. Andhra Pradesh, A&N, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, D&N Haveli/Daman & Diu, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal and 15.30 LMT food grains have been lifted upto 12th July, 2021.

Union Education Minister reviews the Digital Education initiatives of the Ministry

The Minister noted that COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a shift towards digital medium of education and assured that Digital initiatives taken by the Ministry to ensure continuity of Education will be further strengthened and institutionalised.

Maharashtra: Maharashtra reported 7,603 new coronavirus case and 53 fresh fatalities on Monday, taking the tally of infections to 61,65,402 and the death toll to 1,26,024. As many as 15,277 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the number of recovered cases to 59,27,756. The state now has 1,08,343 active COVID-19 cases.Maharashtra has administered 37,017,471 vaccine doses so far. Gujarat: Gujarat reported 32 new coronavirus cases on Monday, taking the COVID-19 tally to 8,24,274, while 262 patients recovered from the infection. Only one patient died in the last 24 hours taking the state's total COVID-19 fatalities to 10,074. The number of recovered cases rose to 8,13,399 with 262 patients getting discharged during the day. There are now 801 active cases in Gujarat, where seven patients are in a critical condition. As many as 2,54,759 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on Monday, taking the total number of doses administered so far in the state to 2,81,15,181.

Rajasthan: Rajasthan reported 33 new COVID-19 cases on Monday. The state's infection tally stands at 9,53,159. The death toll stands at 8,945 as no new fatality was reported. Of the fresh cases, seven were reported from Jaipur and five from Jodhpur. A total of 9,43,553 patients have recovered from the infection in the state so far, and the number of active cases at present is 661.

Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh on Monday reported 18 fresh coronavirus cases, which pushed its infection tally to 7,90,193.

Chhattisgarh:The State did not record any fresh fatality on Monday, but 297 more persons tested positive for the infection, taking the infection count to 9,98,270. The number of recoveries reached 9,80,275 after a total of 170 people were discharged from various hospitals, while 394 others completed their home isolation during the day, leaving the state with 4,517 active cases.A total of 1,05,81,634 vaccine doses against COVID-19 have been administered to people in all eligible categories in the state till Sunday.

Goa: No new death due to COVID-19 was reported on Monday in Goa.With the addition of 108 new cases, Goa's infection tally rose to 1,68,824, while the death toll remained unchanged at 3,097. The number of recovered cases in the state rose to 1,63,957 after 186 patients were discharged from hospitals during the day, the official said. Goa now has 1,770 active cases.With 3,118 new tests, the total number of tests conducted in the state has gone up to 9,74,304. KERALA:The State recorded 7,798 cases yesterday. 100 more deaths wereconfirmed due to the disease in the state, the toll rose to 14,686. So far, a total of 1,60,01,380 people have been vaccinated in the state. Out of this, 1,16,69,608 took first dose and 43,31,772 had their second dose.

TAMILNADU: Tamil Nadu recorded 2,652 fresh Covid-19 cases while 3,104 people undergoingtreatment in various hospitals have been discharged after recovery. Total cases: 19,24,421; Active cases: 27,195;Discharges: 18,84,202; Deaths: 13,024. A total of 1,73,57,995 doses of Covid vaccines have beenadministered in the state as on yesterday, which include 1,36,80,584 first doses and 36,77,411 seconddoses.

TELANGANA: As many as 696 new daily cases and six fatalities were reported yesterday taking the totalnumber of positive cases in the state to 6,32,379 and fatalities to 3,735. The recovery rate among covidpatients in the state has increased to 97.80 percent against the national average of 97.18 percent. TheCase Fatality Rate (CFR) is reported to be 0.59 percent against the national average of 1.3 percent. Thenumber of Active Cases in the state now stands at 10,148. Coming to vaccination figures in the state, atotal of 1,15,283 people of all sections were given first dose and 78,876 people second dose yesterday.Now, the cumulative figure of first dose beneficiaries in the state stands at 1,05,32,498 and second doseat 20,56,017. Assam: As many as 2,575 new COVID-19 positive cases were detected in the State on Monday when 37 people died of the infection. The positivity rate in the State during the day is 1.53 per cent. Manipur: In Manipur, COVID-19 claims 15 more lives, 890 more test positive during last 24 hours.On July 11, 4804 people of the State received their vaccination shots to take the total number of vaccinated people to 8,76,274 and this is inclusive of 94,456 who have received their second dose. Meghalaya: The state registered 273 fresh cases. There were 523 recoveries in the state on Monday.The number of active cases in the state stands at 4,110 while the number of recoveries has gone up to 49,830.The state also registered five deaths from the viral infection, pushing the death toll to 913. Nagaland: Nagaland reports 76 new cases and 4 deaths of COVID-19 on Monday. Active cases are 959 while total reaches 26,052. Sikkim: Sikkim reported two casualties during thelast 24 hours to take the death tally to 317. 90 new positive cases and 130 recoveries were reported during last 24 hours. Thereare 22397 confirmed cases and 2225 activecases of Coronavirus in the State at present while the number of recovered cases stands at 19597. Sikkim reported 27% positivity and 88.9% recovery rate during this period. Tripura: In Tripura, 2 more deaths reported in last 24 hours with 270 new cases detected and a positivity rate of 4. 32%.

India’s Cumulative Recoveries crosses 3 Cr mark

National Cumulative COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 37.73 Cr

37,154 Daily New Cases reported in last 24 hours

India's Active Caseload (4,50,899) presently constitutes just 1.47% of total cases

Daily Positivity Rate (2.59%) less than 3% for 21 consecutive days In a significant milestone in its fight against COVID-19, India’s cumulative recoveries has exceeded 3 Crore people.Out of the people infected since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,00,14,713people have already recovered from COVID-19 and39,649patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. This constitutes an overall recovery rate of 97.22%, which is showing a sustained increasing trend.

On the other hand, India’s cumulative vaccination coverage exceeded 37.73 crore. A total of 37,73,52,501vaccine doses have been administered through 48,51,209 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. 12,35,287 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. These include:

The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st June, 2021. The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID-19 vaccination throughout the country.

India has reported 37,154daily new cases in the last 24 hours. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported since fifteen continuous days. This is a result of sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs.

India’s Active Caseload today stands at 4,50,899and active cases are now only 1.46% of the country's total Positive Cases.

With substantially ramped up testing capacity across the country, a total of 14,32,343tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 43 crore (43,23,17,813) tests so far. While on one side testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, a continued decline in weekly case positivity is noticed. Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 2.32% while the Daily Positivity rate stands at 2.59% today. Myths vs Facts No case of Delta Plus reported from sample sequencing in Tripura The samples tested revealed cases of Delta Variant

There were some Media reports regarding rising cases of Delta Plus variants in Tripura. In this regard, it is informed that:

v. 152 samples were sent from Tripura to NIBMG Kalyani for Whole Genome Sequence(WGS). v. The random samples were of people tested RT-PCR positive between April and May 2021 v. The results of the WGS done at NIBMG Kalyani reveal- v. 3 samples had tested positive for B.1.1.7 v. 11 samples had tested positive for B.1.617.1(Kappa) v. 138 samples had tested positive for B.1.617.2 (Delta) There was no case of Delta Plus reported among the aforementioned lot of sequenced samples. Maharashtra: Maharashtra on Sunday reported 8,535 new cases of coronavirus infection, taking the state’s tally to 61,57,799. 6,013 patients were discharged today, taking the number of recovered patients to 59,12,479. On the other hand, the death toll rose by 156 to 125,878. The state currently has an active caseload of 1,16,165. Maharashtra’s recovery rate stands at 96.02 percent while the case fatality rate stands at 2.04 percent.Maharashtra on July 11 has vaccinated 1,76,959 through 949 centres. The state has inoculated 3,65,25,990 people till now.

Gujarat: With the number of daily Covid-19 cases remaining below 100 in Gujarat over the last few weeks, schools and colleges are now set to reopen for in-person classroom studies from July 15.Gujarat has around 4.8 crore people above the age of 18 years. Out of them, nearly 2.15 crore people have already received their first dose, while 63.40 lakh have got their second dose also.On Sunday, Gujarat reported 42 new cases of COVID-19, which took its overall infection count to 8,24,242. No fresh death was reported on Sunday and the toll stood at 10,073.

Rajasthan: Rajasthan government on Sunday withdrew curfew and reopened multiplexes and outdoor activities with certain restrictions in view of the constant decrease in the Covid positive cases.Fifty-two fresh Covid cases were reported in Rajasthan on Sunday. No death due to the coronavirus has been reported in the state. Till now, 9,53,126 people have tested positive for the virus in the state and 8,945 people have died. The number of active cases in Rajasthan is 702. Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh on Sunday reported 23 fresh coronavirus cases, which took its infection tally to 7,90,175.Of the total number of 52 districts in MP, new cases were reported only in nine districts. No cases were reported from 43 districts. Chhattisgarh: Chhattisgarh's COVID-19 tally mounted to 9,97,973 on Sunday as 188 more people tested positive for the infection, while three fresh fatalities pushed the toll to 13,478. Assam: Assam on Sunday reported 16 more COVID-19 deaths, which took the toll to 4,828, taking the total number of infections to 5,33,663, according to a bulletin issued by the National Health Mission.

Manipur: Manipur records highest number of cases of COVID-19 with 911 after May 30 with 14 deaths recorded. Also, 205 persons infected with Delta variant till date.Total number of people who have received their vaccines in the State are 8,71,470. India’s cumulative vaccination coverage exceeded 37.60 crore. A total of 37,60,32,586 vaccine doses have been administered through 48,33,797 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. 37,23,367 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st June, 2021. The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID-19 vaccination throughout the country.

India has reported 41,506 daily new cases in the last 24 hours.Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported since fourteen continuous days. This is a result of sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs.

India’s Active Caseload today stands at 4,54,118 and active cases are now only 1.47% of the country's total Positive Cases.

Out of the people infected since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,99,75,064 people have already recovered from COVID-19 and 41,526 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. This constitutes an overall recovery rate of 97.20%, which is showing a sustained increasing trend.

With substantially ramped up testing capacity across the country, a total of 18,43,500 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 43 crore (43,08,85,470) tests so far.

While on one side testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, a continued decline in weekly case positivity is noticed. Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 2.32% while the Daily Positivity rate stands at 2.25% today. More than 38.60 Crore vaccine doses provided to States/UTs

More than 1.44 Cr balance and unutilized doses still available with States/UTs and private hospitals to be administered More than 38.60 crore (38,60,51,110) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far, through all sources and a further 11,25,140 doses are in the pipeline.Of this, the total consumption including wastages is 37,16,47,625 doses (as per data available at 8 AM today).

More than 1.44 Cr (1,44,03,485) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs and private hospitals to be administered.

The G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors reaffirmed their resolve to use all available policy tools for as long as required to address the adverse consequences of COVID-19.

Smt. Sitharaman appreciated the Italian G20 Presidency for identifying three catalysts of resilient economic recovery from the pandemic as being Digitalization, Climate Action and Sustainable Infrastructure and shared the Indian experience of integrating technology with inclusive service delivery during the pandemic.

The Finance Minister shared recent policy responses of Government of India to strengthen the health system and economy, including the efficient application of CoWIN Platform to scale-up vaccination in India. Smt. Sitharaman added that this platform has been made freely available to all countries as humanitarian needs outweigh commercial considerations in this extraordinary crisis. 20,31,634 vaccine doses were administered as first dose and 1,79,901 vaccine doses given as second dose in the age group 18-44 years yesterday.

Cumulatively, 10,84,53,590 persons in the age group 18-44 years across 37 States/UTs have received their first dose and total 33,79,213 have received their second.

Eight States viz. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka and Maharashtra have administered more than 50 lakh first dose of COVID-19 Vaccine in the age group 18- 44 years.

More than 1.70 Cr (1,70,19,854) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs and private hospitals to be administered.

The Union Cabinet chaired by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi yesterday approved a new scheme ‘India COVID-19 Emergency Response & Health System Preparedness Package: Phase-II’ amounting to Rs. 23,123 crores for FY 2021-22. This scheme aims to accelerate health system preparedness for immediate responsiveness for early prevention, detection and management, with the focus on health infrastructure development including for Paediatric Care and with measurable outcomes.The Phase-II of the Package has Central Sector (CS) and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) components. In March 2020 last year, when the country faced the first wave of the COVID 19 pandemic, the PM announced a Central Sector Scheme of Rs. 15,000 crorefor the "India COVID 19 Emergency Response and Health Systems Preparedness Package", providing a critical impetus to the efforts of MoHFW and States/UTs, and catalysing health systems activities for pandemic management. Since mid-February 2021, the country is experiencing a second wave with spread into rural, peri-urban and tribal areas.

Maharashtra: Maharashtra has reported 9,114 new COVID-19 cases and 121 fatalities, which took its overall infection count to 61,31,976 and death toll to 1,24,296. A total of 8,815 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, which pushed the state’s overall recovery count to 58,89,982. There are 1,14,444 active COVID-19 cases in the state. On Thursday, the state vaccinated 3,18,143 people.

State's death toll stood at 10,072, while 534 patients were discharged from various hospitals, taking the count of recoveries to 8,12,522. With this, the rate of recovery in Gujarat now stands at 98.60 per cent. The state has 1,497 active cases.

Rajasthan: The Covid tally in Rajasthan reached 9,52,956 with 69 fresh cases, while the death toll stood at 8,942 as no new fatality was reported in the state. As many as 9,43,190 people have recovered from the infection, while there are 824 active cases in the state.

Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh reported 26 new COVID-19 cases while fatality count reached 9,023 on Thursday. The number of active cases in the state reduced to 416 while 47 patients were recovered from infection. Meanwhile, more than 6 lakh people got the dose of corona vaccine under the vaccination campaign yesterday.

Chhattisgarh: Chhattisgarh's COVID-19 case tally was 9,97,035 on Thursday with 346 new cases coming to light. The state also recorded three deaths, taking the death toll to 13,467. The number of recoveries rose to 9,78,654. The number of active cases in the state stands at 4,914.Around 1.04 crore persons have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Chhattisgarh till now.

Goa: Goa recorded 195 new coronavirus cases and four deaths on Thursday. The caseload in the coastal state thus rose to 1,68,210 and death toll reached 3,086. With 176 persons getting discharged from hospitals, the number of recovered patients rose to 1,63,159. There are 1,965 active cases in the state now.

KERALA: A total of1,53,14,751 people have so far been vaccinated in the state. Of this, 1,14,20,643 took first dose and38,94,108 second dose.

TAMIL NADU: Tamil Nadu on Thursday saw 3,211 fresh cases and 57 deaths. This took the cumulative case tally to25.10 lakh and toll to 33,253. There are less than 100 cases in 29 districts. A total of 1,72,43,531 people have so far been vaccinatedin TN. Out of this, 1,43,63,683 took first dose and 28,79,848 took second dose. Similarly, in PuducherryUT, a total of 5,66,451 people have so far been vaccinated. Out of this, 4,70,845 took first dose and 95,606 took second dose.

A total of 1,67,15,916 doses of Covid vaccines have beenadministered in the state as on yesterday, which include 1,33,47,424 first doses and 33,68,492 seconddoses.

TELANGANA:A total of 731 new cases and four fatalities were reported yesterday taking the totalnumber of cases in the state to 6,29,785 and deaths to 3,714. The recovery rate has reached 97.63percent against the national average of 97.14 percent. The Case Fatality Rate (CFR) is reported to be0.58 percent against the national average of 1.3 percent percent. The number of Active Cases in thestate now stands at 11,206.

Punjab:As on 8th June, 2021, the total number of patients tested Positive is 597195. Number of active cases is1927. Total Deaths reported is 16157. Total COVID-19 Vaccinated with 1st dose(Healthcare + Frontline Workers) is 1349497. Total COVID-19 Vaccinated with 2nd dose (Healthcare + Frontline Workers) is 399145. Total above 45 Vaccinated with 1st dose is3532270. Total above 45 Vaccinated with 2nd dose is 884635.

Haryana:As on 8th June, 2021, Total Number of Samples found positive till date is 769148. Total activeCOVID-19 patients is 1034. Number of deaths is 9525. Cumulative number of peoplevaccinated till date is 9655164.

Chandigarh:As on 8th June, 2021, total Lab confirmed COVID-19 cases is 61794. Total number of ActiveCases is 100. Total number of COVID-19 deaths till date is 809.

Himachal Pradesh: Total number of patients tested Covid positive till date is 203245.Total number of Active Cases is 1307. Total deaths reported till date is 3470.

Assam:A total of 21 Covid deaths were reported in Assam in last 24 hours, while 2,644 new infections were detected in 1,06,760 tests done during the day.

Manipur:In Manipur 839 more test positive and 12 deaths recorded. Manipur records positivity rate of 19.1 pc, highest in Jun and July.On July 7, a total of 30,627 received their vaccination shots to take the total number of vaccinated people to 8,26,702 and out of this the number of people who have received their second dose is 91,092.

Sikkim: 222people tested positive for Novel Coronavirus in the past 24hours. onemore Covid death reported. 222 newcases picked up from testing of 1,076 samples, givingSikkim a daily positivity rateof 20.6%. At present, there are 2,144active Covidcases in the State.

Tripura: In Tripura 407 cases were detected and 6 died in last 24 hours. Positivity rate for the whole state has come down to 4.75%.

Nagaland:Nagaland reports 64 new cases and 125 recoveries on Thursday. Active cases are 1004 while total reaches 25,727.

India’s cumulative vaccination coverage exceeded 36.48 crore today as per the provisional report till 7 am today. A total of 36,48,47,549 vaccine doses have been administered through 47,40,833 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. 33,81,671 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported since eleven continuous days. This is a result of sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs.

India’s Active Caseload today stands at 4,60,704 and active cases are now only 1.50% of the country's total Positive Cases.

This constitutes an overall recovery rate of 97.18%, which is showing a sustained increasing trend.

With substantially ramped up testing capacity across the country, a total of 18,93,800 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 42.52 crore (42,52,25,897) tests so far.

While on one side testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, a continued decline in weekly case positivity is noticed. Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 2.37% while the Daily Positivity rate stands at 2.42% today. Daily Positivity rate has remained less than 3% for 17 consecutive days now, and has remained below 5% for over a month.

Maharashtra: Maharashtra on Wednesday reported 9,558 new coronavirus positive cases and 147 fatalities, a drop of 24 compared to the previous day, taking the tally of infections to 61,22,893 and the toll to 1,23,857. A total of 8,899 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the number of recoveries in Maharashtra to 58,81,167 so far, leaving the state with 1,14,625 active cases.

Gujarat: After a gap of nearly four months, no fresh death due to COVID-19 was recorded in Gujarat on Wednesday, while 65 more persons tested positive for the infection, taking the state-wide tally to 8,24,029. The death toll remained unchanged at 10,072 as no new COVID-19 fatality was reported in Gujarat in the last 24 hours.289 patients discharged during the day. Number of recovered cases in Gujarat rose to 8,11,988. There are now 1,969 active cases in the state.

Rajasthan:Active Covid-19 cases in Rajasthan have dropped below 1000. No fresh death linked to COVID-19 was recorded in Rajasthan on Wednesday, even as 51 new cases raised the infection tally to 9,52,887 in the state. The death toll from the pandemic stands at 8,942 in Rajasthan. Of the fresh coronavirus cases, a maximum of 17 were reported from Jaipur. A total of 9,43,010 people have recovered from the infection in Rajasthan and the number of active cases stands at 935.

The fatality count rose to 9,019 as two more deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. A total of 32 patients were discharged from hospitals during the day, taking the count of recoveries in Madhya Pradesh to 7,80,610. The number of active cases in the state stands at 441.More than 2 crore 24 lakh vaccines have been administered in the state so far.

Chhattisgarh: Chhattisgarh on Wednesday reported 330 new cases of COVID-19 and two deaths, taking the total of infections to 9,96,689 and death toll to 13,464. The number of recoveries rose to 9,78,208 after 66 people were discharged from hospitals and 249 others completed home isolation during the day. The number of active cases in the state stands at 5,017.Till Tuesday, 1.03 crore shots of vaccines against COVID-19 had been administered in Chhattisgarh.

Goa: Goa on Wednesday reported 192 fresh coronavirus positive cases and three deaths, taking the tally of infections to 1,68,015 and the toll to 3,082. A total of 196 patients were discharged during the day, taking the count of recoveries in Goa to 1,62,983 so far, leaving the state with 1,950 active cases.

KERALA: Kerala reported 15,600new COVID-19 cases and 11,629 recoveries on Wednesday. The Test Positivity Rate in the state standsat 10.36%. With 148 COVID-19 deaths too confirmed on Wednesday, the death toll rose to 14,108. So far a total of 1,51,77,497 people have taken vaccination. Of this, 1,13,76,402 took first dose and38,01,095 second dose.

TAMIL NADU: Nearly 63% fresh infections reported in 11 districts: State records 3,367 new cases,64 more fatalities.

KARNATAKA: As per the State Government bulletin released for 07-07-2021, New Cases Reported:2,743; Total Active Cases: 39,603; New Covid Deaths: 75; Total Covid Deaths: 35,601;Around 2,08,439 were vaccinated yesterday with a total of 2,46,91,636 have been vaccinated in thestate till now.

ANDHRA PRADESH: State reported 3166 new Covid-19 cases after testing 83,885 samples with 21deaths, while 4019 got discharged during the last 24 hours. Total cases: 19,11,231; Active cases:32,356; Discharges: 18,65,956; Deaths: 12,919. A total of 1,66,76,871 doses of Covid vaccines havebeen administered in the state as on yesterday, which include 1,33,22,361 first doses and 33,54,510second doses.

TELANGANA: As many as 772 new cases and 7 fatalities were reported yesterday taking the totalnumber of Covid cases in the state to 6,29,054 and deaths to 3710. Meghalaya: Meghalaya registered 354 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday while six more people succumbed to the viral infection in the past 24 hours.The active tally in the state stands at 4,229 while the number of fatalities has risen to 886.424 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the number of people cured/discharged to 47,597.

Nagaland: Nagaland reports 44 new COVID-19 cases and 2 deaths on Wednesday. State's daily positivity rate is 4.54% with 105 recoveries.

Sikkim: Sikkim’s COVID death toll reached 311 today with two more deaths being reported in the last 24 hours. 170 more people tested positive, taking the state’stally of confirmed cases of COVID-19 to 21,573. These new cases were detected from the testing of 993 samples on Tuesday giving Sikkim a daily test positivity rate comes to 17.1%. At present, there are1,975 active Covid cases in the State, of whomonly 77 are in hospital.

Tripura: 461 more positive cases of COVID-19 detected with 2 deaths in last 24 hours with overall positivity rate at 5. 97%. A total of 26,42,385 people were vaccinated across the state which includes 20,17,751 being administered 1st dose while 6,24,634 vaccinated with 2nd dose.

India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage crosses landmark milestone of 36 Cr

43,733 Daily New Cases reported in last 24 hours

India's Active Caseload declines to 4,59,920; constitutes 1.50% of total cases

Daily Positivity Rate (2.29%) less than 5% for a month

In a landmark achievement, India’s cumulative vaccination coverage surpassed 36 crores yesterday. A total of 36,13,23,548 vaccine doses have been administered through 47,07,778 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. 36,05,998 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID19 vaccination throughout the country.

India has reported 43,733 daily new cases in the last 24 hours.

Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported since ten continuous days. This is a result of sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs.

India has also been witnessing a continuous fall in the active caseload. The country’s Active Caseload today stands at 4,59,920.

A net decline of 4,437 is witnessed in the last 24 hours and active cases are now only 1.50% of the country's total Positive Cases.

COVID-19 Vaccination Update

More than 37.43 Crore vaccine doses provided to States/UTs

More than 1.67 Cr balance and unutilized doses still available with States/UTs and private hospitals to be administered

More than 37.43 crore (37,43,25,560) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far, through all sources and a further 48,65,110 doses are in the pipeline.Of this, the total consumption including wastages is 35,75,98,947 doses (as per data available at 8 AM today).

More than 1.67 Cr (1,67,26,613) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs and private hospitals to be administered.

Union reviews COVID-19 situation in North Eastern (NE) States and Union Territories

The Union Home Secretary chaired a meeting here today to review the COVID-19 situation in all the North Eastern (NE) States and Union Territories (UTs).During the meeting, current status and trends on the active cases, Case Fatality Rate (CFR), Case Positivity Rate (CPR) and vaccination status in respect of all the UTs and NE States was discussed. It was also noted that out of 73 districts in the country with CPR above 10 percent, 46 districts are in NE States, where strict containment measures need to be taken as per extant guidelines. Q&A on Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG)

India started sequencing SARS-CoV-2 viral genomes in 2020. Initially, NIV and ICMR sequenced samples of international passengers who arrived in India from UK, Brazil or South Africa or transited through these countries, as these countries reported a sudden surge in cases. RTPCR positive samples from States reporting sudden surges in cases were sequenced on priority. This was further expanded through efforts of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), as well as individual Institutions. Maharashtra's caseload is 61,13,335 and the death toll is 1,23,531. The number of recoveries so far stand at 58,72,268,with 1,14,297 active cases.

Gujarat: Gujarat reported 69 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the tally to 8,23,964, while the death toll stands at 10,072. 208 people were discharged during the day, taking the recovery count to 8,11,699, leaving the state with 2,193 active cases.2,73,25,191 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the state so far, including 2,17,786 on Tuesday.

Rajasthan: Rajasthan recorded 47 fresh coronavirus cases and one fatality on Tuesday, taking the infection count to 9,52,836 and the death toll to 8,942. A total of 9,42,882 people have recovered from the infection and the number of active cases stands at 1,012 in Rajasthan.

Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday reported 27 fresh coronavirus positive cases and two fatalities, taking the count of infections to 7,90,042 and the death toll to 9,017. With 44 patients getting discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, the tally of recoveries in Madhya Pradesh are 7,80,578, with 447 active cases. A total of 1.87 crore people have been administered at least the first dose of vaccine. This is nearly 32% of the total population that is eligible for vaccination.

Chhattisgarh: Chhattisgarh's COVID-19 count rose to 9,96,359 on Tuesday with the addition of 322 cases, while the death toll increased by five to touch 13,462. The number of recoveries reached 9,77,893 after 152 people were discharged from hospitals and 381 completed home isolation during the day, leaving the state with 5,004 active cases. Over 1.02 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the state as on Monday, with 84,82,600 people getting the first dose and 17,50,955 the second.

Goa: Goa's coronavirus caseload went up by 257 and reached 1,67,823 on Tuesday, while the toll rose by four and the recovery count by 230. The state has so far witnessed 3,079 deaths, while 1,62,787 people have been discharged, leaving it with 1,957 active cases. Goa has achieved the milestone of administering 10 lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccines. A total of 10,06,824 doses were administered in the state till July 6.

KERALA: Thestate recorded 14,373 new Covid cases on Tuesday. With 142 new fatalities, the death toll mounted to13,960. Test positivity rate was recorded at 10.9 %. So far a totalof 1,50,78,275 people have been vaccinated in the state. Out of this, 1,13,30,973 have been administered with first dose and 37,47,30 second dose.

TAMIL NADU: Tamil Nadu has recorded 3,479 new Covid-19 cases. The daily count of death was 73. So far 1,70,18,198 dose of vaccine have been given.

Total cases: 19,08,065; Active cases: 33,230;Discharges: 18,61,937; Deaths: 12,898. A total of 1,66,33,947 doses of Covid vaccines have beenadministered in the state as on yesterday, which include 1,32,98,619 first doses and 33,35,328 seconddoses.

TELANGANA: As many as 784 cases and five fatalities were reported yesterday taking the total numberof positive cases in the state to 6,28,282 and fatalities to 3703. The recovery rate is 97.58 percent. The Case Fatality Rate (CFR)is reported to be 0.58 percent. Number of Active Cases in thestate now stands at 11,455. A total of 96,209 people of allsections were given first dose and 40,016 second dose yesterday. Now the cumulative figure of firstdose beneficiaries in the state stands at 1,01,72,792 and second dose at 17,92,010.

Assam:The state of Assam on Tuesday reported 2,433 fresh cases of coronavirus with 34 Covid-related fatalities.

Manipur:In Manipur, positivity rate of 17 pc recorded, 863 test positive and 14 deaths reported. On July 5, 30,476 people received their vaccination jabs, taking the total to 7,69,107. Out of them total 87,428 have received their second dose.

Meghalaya:Meghalaya recorded 457 fresh cases of COVID-19 while nine deaths were recorded from the viral infection in the past 24 hours. A total of 497 patients were declared cured on Tuesday.The active tally now stands at 4,305 while 47,173 patients have recovered so far. The death toll has gone up to 880.

Sikkim:Sikkim’s tally of confirmed cases ofCOVID-19 reached21,403 with 177new cases ofnovel coronavirus reported in thelast 24 hours. 846samples tested on Monday, daily testpositivity rate of 20.9%.151COVID patientsdischarged. Total recovered cases of COVID-19: 18,944.nonew COVID deaths reported in the last 24hours, death toll: 309.

Tripura:1.474 positive cases and 4 deaths reported in the state in last 24 hours while 472 patients recovered.

More than 10.57 Cr Vaccine doses administered in the age group 18-44, so far

India’s cumulative COVID Vaccination Coverage exceeded 35.75 crore (35,75,53,612), as per the provisional report till 7 am. Cumulatively, more than 10.57 Cr (10,57,68,530) Vaccine Doses were administered in the age group 18-44 years.

20,74,636 vaccine doses were administered as first dose and 1,48,709 vaccine doses given as second dose in the age group 18-44 years yesterday.

Cumulatively, 10,28,40,418 persons in the age group 18-44 years across 37 States/UTs have received their first dose and total 29,28,112 have received their second.

Eight States viz. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka and Maharashtra have administered more than 50 lakh first dose of COVID-19 Vaccine in the age group 18-44 years.

More than 37.07 crore (37,07,23,840) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far, through all sources and a further 23,80,000 doses are in the pipeline.Of this, the total consumption including wastages is 35,40,60,197 doses (as per data available at 8 AM today).

Maharashtra:Maharashtra reported 6,740 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, taking the infection tally to 61,04,917, while the death toll increased to 1,23,136 with the addition of 51 fresh fatalities. The state reported a sharp drop in both daily COVID-19 cases and fatalities as compared to Sunday, when it had registered 9,336 infections and 123 fatalities. As many as 13,027 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, pushing the number of recovered cases to 58,61,720. Rajasthan:Rajasthan recorded three more Covid fatalities and 55 fresh cases on Monday, taking the death toll to 8,941 and infection tally to 9,52,789. Of the fresh cases, a maximum of 19 cases were reported from Jaipur while five from Sirohi, among others. A total of 9,42,756 people have recovered from the infection so far and there are 1,092 active cases in the state.

Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh on Monday recorded 32 fresh COVID-19 cases and six fatalities, taking the tally of infections to 7,90,015 and the toll to 9,015. A total of 39 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, raising the count of recoveries in Madhya Pradesh so far to 7,80,534, leaving the state with 466 active cases.Of the total 52 districts in Madhya Pradesh, 38 districts did not record a single new case in the last 24 hours.

Chhattisgarh: Chhattisgarh on Monday reported 319 COVID-19 cases and one death, taking the infection count to 9,96,037 and the toll to 13,457. The number of recoveries reached 9,77,360 after 107 people were discharged from hospitals and 336 completed home isolation during the day, leaving the state with 5,220 active cases.Till Sunday, 1,01,36,466 COVID-19 vaccine doses had been administered in the state, with 84,20,556 people getting the first shot and 17,15,910 the second.

Goa: Goa's coronavirus caseload went up by 130 and reached 1,67,566 on Monday, while the day also saw two deaths and 130 people getting discharged. The toll in the state is 3,075 and the recovery count stands at 1,67,566, leaving it with 1,934 active cases.

KERALA: The state recorded 8037 new Covid cases on Monday. With 102 new fatalities, the death toll mounted to 13,818. Test positivity rate was recorded at 10.03 percent. So far a total of 1,50,13,247 people in the state have been vaccinated in the state.Out of this, 1,12,94,209 took first dose and 37,19,038 second dose.

TAMIL NADU: Tamil Nadu has recorded 3,715 freshCovid cases and 54 deaths on Monday taking the total number of cases beyond the 25 lakh-mark and death toll to 33,059 leaving 34,926 active cases in the State. A total of 1,69,21,705people have so far been vaccinated in TN. Out of this, 1,41,54,348 took first dose and 27,67,357 took second dose. Similarly in Puducherry UT, a total of 5,39,022 people have so far been vaccinated. Out of this, 4,60,557 took first dose and 78,465 took second dose.

ANDHRA PRADESH: State reported 2100 new Covid-19 cases after testing 72,731 samples with 26deaths, while 3435 got discharged during the last 24 hours. Total cases: 19,05,023; Active cases: 33,964;Discharges: 18,58,189; Deaths: 12,870. A total of 1,65,82,264 doses of Covid vaccines have beenadministered in the state as on yesterday, which include 1,32,64,680 first doses and 33,17,584 seconddoses.

TELANGANA: A total of 808 new cases and seven deaths were reported taking the total number of cases in the state to 6,27,498 and fatalities to 3,698. While recovery rate has increased to 97.54 percent, the case Fatality Rate is reported to be 0.58 percent. The number of Active Cases in the state now stands at11,704. The number of Active Containment Zones in the state has come down to 48.

Assam: A total of 31 COVID deaths were reported in Assam in the last 24 hours, while 2,640 new infections were detected in 1,16,542 tests done during the day.

Manipur: Daily positivity rate continues to run high with 13.5 pc; 432 positive, 8 deaths reported.The cumulative number of vaccinated people in Manipur is 7,38,63.

Meghalaya: COVID-19 continues to take its toll on the state with nine more succumbing to the infection on Monday taking the death toll to 871. 448 patients recovered from the viral infection while 377 fresh cases were detected in the last 24 hours. The active tally now stands at 4,454 while a total number of 46,676 patients have recovered so far.

Nagaland: Nagaland reports just 40 new cases and nil deaths on Monday. Active cases are 1192 while tally goes up to 25,559.Nagaland's daily positivity rate comes down below 5% for the first time since the pandemic with just 40 positive cases reported out of 1012 samples tested on Monday.

Sikkim: Sikkim recorded 95 new cases of novel Coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the State’s tally of the confirmed cases of COVID-19 to 21,226. Meanwhile,after four days of recording no deaths, it has reported one death due to Covid 19 in Sikkim. Covid has thus far claimed 309 lives in Sikkim. 324 people made full recoveries this the number of recovered cases of COVID-19 has further improved to 18,793. This spike in recoveries has also brought down the number of active cases in Sikkim to 1,869.

Tripura: COVID-19 Claims 15 lives in 5 days. In last 24 hours 226 people tested positive and 5 died while 283 patients recovered in the same time. Less than 40,000 Daily New Cases reported in last 24 hours

Daily Positivity Rate (2.61%) less than 5% for 28 consecutive days

India has reported less than 40,000 (39,796) daily new cases in the last 24 hours.

Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported since eight continuous days. This is a result of sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs.

India has also been witnessing a continuous fall in the active caseload. The country’s Active Caseload today stands at 4,82,071.

A net decline of 3,279 is witnessed in the last 24 hours and active cases are now only 1.58% of the country's total Positive Cases.

India’s cumulative vaccination coverage exceeded 35.28 crore yesterday. A total of 35,28,92,046 vaccine doses have been administered through 46,34,986 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. 14,81,583 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. These include:

The new phase of universalization of COVID19 vaccination commenced from 21st June, 2021. The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID19 vaccination throughout the country.

As more people are getting recovered from COVID-19 infection, India’s Daily Recoveries continue to outnumber the Daily New Cases for 53 consecutive days now. 42,352 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.

Maharashtra: Maharashtra on Sunday reported 9,336 fresh coronavirus positive cases and 123 fatalities, taking the tally of infections to 60,98,177 and the toll to 1,23,030. A total of 3,378 patients were discharged during the day, raising the count of recoveries in Maharashtra to 58,48,693 so far, leaving the state with 1,23,225 active cases. Gujarat: Gujarat on Sunday reported 70 COVID-19 cases and two deaths from the infection, taking the tally in the state to 8,23,833 and the toll to 10,069. The day also saw 128 people being discharged from hospitals, increasing the recovery count to 8,11,297, which is 98.48 per cent of the caseload, leaving the state with 2,467 active cases, including 10 in critical condition. The number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 in the state so far has reached 2,68,07,725, including 2,65,647 on Sunday. Rajasthan: The COVID-19 death toll in Rajasthan rose to 8,938 on Sunday with four more fatalities, while 71 new cases pushed the infection tally to 9,52,734. Of the fresh cases, the maximum 19 were reported from Jaipur. A total of 9,42,616 people have recovered so far from the infection. The total number of active cases stands at 1,180.

Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh on Sunday reported 47 COVID-19 cases and eight deaths, taking the tally to 7,89,983 and toll to 9,009. He said 50 people were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, which increased the recovery count to 7,80,495, leaving MP with 49 active cases. Not a single coronavirus case was reported in 37 of MP's 52 districts. Chhattisgarh: Chhattisgarh on Sunday reported 229 new cases of COVID-19 and three deaths, taking the total number of infections in the state to 9,95,718 and toll to 13,456. The number of recoveries reached to 9,76,917 after a total of 30 people were discharged from various hospitals, while 181 others completed their home isolation during the day. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the state stands at 5,345. Chhattisgarh, the number of vaccine doses administered has crossed one crore mark. More than 1,00,56,000 doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the state.

Goa: The Goa government on Sunday extended till July 12 the current state-level curfew that is in place to curb the COVID-19 cases, but allowed social, political, cultural gatherings, marriages and other congregations of up to 100 people or 50 per cent of the venue capacity. The casinos in the state, however, will continue to remain shut till July 12. Goa's coronavirus caseload went up by 164 to reach 1,67,436 on Sunday, while the death of four patients took its fatality count to 3,073. As 202 COVID-19 patients recuperated and got discharge from hospitals during the day, the state's recovery count rose to 1,62,276. There are 2,087 active infection cases in the coastal state at present. KERALA: More than 10,000 Covid cases are reported in the state daily. 12,100 people were diagnosed with the disease yesterday. More than one lakh people are presently undergoing treatment. So far a total of 1,48,77,146 have taken vaccine in the state. Of this, 1,12,22,813 took first dose and 36,54,333 second dose.

TAMIL NADU: State recorded 3,867 new Covid-19 positive cases; Lockdown relaxations have come into effect in Tamil Nadu from today. 66,600 people were inoculated across TN on Sunday.

A total of 1,64,59,868 doses of Covid vaccines have beenadministered in the state as on yesterday, which include 1,31,88,396 first doses and 32,71,472 seconddoses. The State has highest recovery rate among the southern states. As on July 1, recovery rate in thestate stands at 97.31 per cent.

TELANGANA: A total of 605 new cases and seven fatalities were reported in the state yesterday taking the total number of cases in the state to6,26,690 and fatalities to 3,691. The number of Active Cases in the state now stands at 11,964. Recoveryrate reaches to 97.5 percent.

Assam: A total of 20 Covid deaths were reported in Assam in the last 24 hours, while 1,213 new infections were detected in 53,848 tests done during the day.

Manipur: Daily positivity rate sees slight drop at 14.9 pc; virus claims 8 more 600 plus daily spike continues with 643 more positive. The total number of people who have been vaccinated stands at 729061 and out of this 85750 people have received their second dose so far.

Meghalaya: Seven more patients died of COVID-19 on Sunday while 489 fresh cases were detected in the state in the past 24 hours.

Sikkim: 176 new cases were picked up from testing of 1,367 samples collected on Saturday giving Sikkim a daily test positivity rate of 12.8%. There are now 2,101 active cases of Covid in Sikkim. There is no Covid related death for third consecutive days.

Tripura: 428 new positive cases and 4 deaths were reported in last 24 hours. 15,966 persons were vaccinated in last 24 hours. As per the available data total vaccination done till July 3rd in the state is 26,13,644 while 19,98,998 were 1st dose and 6,14,646 were second dose.

Nagaland: Nagaland reports 68 new cases and nil deaths on Sunday. Active cases are 1234 while total is 25,519. A total of 5,36,257 persons have been inoculated with Covid vaccine in Nagaland so far. Of them, 4,68,202 persons have received their first doses while 68,055 have received their 2nd doses.

India’s cumulative vaccination coverage crossed the landmark of 35 crore yesterday. A total of 35,12,21,306 vaccine doses have been administered through 46,04,925 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. 63,87,849 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. These include:

The new phase of universalization of COVID19 vaccination commenced from 21st June, 2021. The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID19 vaccination throughout the country.

India has reported 43,071 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported since seven continuous days. This is a result of sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs.

India has also been witnessing a continuous fall in the active caseload. The country’s Active Caseload today stands at 4,85,350. A net decline of 10,183 is witnessed in the last 24 hours and active cases are now only 1.59% of the country's total Positive Cases.

More than 33.63 Crore vaccine doses provided by Government of India to States/UTs More than 33.63 crore (33,63,78,220) vaccine doses have been provided by Government of India to States/UTs so far, through Government of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category.Of this, the total consumption, including wastages is 33,73,22,514 doses (as per data available at 8 AM today).Furthermore, 44,90,000 vaccine doses are in the pipeline and will be received by the States/UTs within the next 3 days.

TAMIL NADU: Chief Minister M K Stalin is holding talks with Medical and Health experts on extendinglockdown and further relaxing the Covid restrictions. Tamil Nadu recorded 4,481 fresh coronavirus casesin the last 24 hours, pushing the overall caseload to 24.84 lakh, while the toll mounted to 32,721 with102 deaths. The Railways has said that it has brought 6,819 MT of oxygen to the state through 88Oxygen express trains. Tamil Nadu receives 10 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine from the Serum Instituteof India in Pune. A total of 1,58,61,392 people have so far beenvaccinated in TN. Out of this, 1,32,62,371 took first dose and 25,99,021 took second dose. Similarly inPuducherry UT, a total of 5,13,461 people has so far been vaccinated. Out of this, 4,45,115 took firstdose and 68,346 took second dose.

ANDHRA PRADESH: State reported 3841 new Covid-19 cases after testing 90,574 samples with 38deaths, while 3963 got discharged during the last 24 hours. Total cases: 18,93,354; Active cases: 38,178;Discharges: 18,42,432; Deaths: 12,744. A total of 1,59,85,928 doses of Covid vaccines have beenadministered in the state as on yesterday, which include 1,28,05,548 first doses and 31,80,380 seconddoses.

TELANGANA: A total of 869 new cases and 8 fatalities were reported yesterday taking the total numberof cases in the state to 6,24,379 and deaths to 3669. The recovery rate among Covid patients in the stateis reported to be 97.32 percent against the national average of 96.93 percent. The Case Fatality Rate(CFR) is 0.58 percent against the national average of 1.3 percent. The number of Active cases in the statenow stands at 13,052. The vaccination for all above 18 years of age began across the state yesterday. Maharashtra: Maharashtra reported 9,195 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday which took its infection tally to 60,70,599. With 252 fatalities, the death toll due to the pandemic rose to 1,22,197. As many as 8,634 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the number of recovered patients to 58,28,535. There are 1,16,667 active COVID-19 patients in Maharashtra.Till now, Maharashtra leads the states, in terms of vaccination with 32,715,362 doses administered.

Gujarat: Gujarat on Thursday registered 84 fresh COVID-19 cases, while 300 more patients recovered from the infection in the state. With the addition of 84 infections, the state-wide coronavirus tally rose to 8,23,607 and recoveries increased to 8,10,751. During the day, three patients succumbed to the infection - two in Ahmedabad and one in Surat district; the death toll has reached 10,062. Gujarat's COVID-19 recovery rate now stands at 98.44 per cent. The state has 2,794 active cases.A total of 2,59,62,782 people have been vaccinated so far in the state. On Thursday, 2.84 lakh people were administered anti- coronavirus vaccines.

Rajasthan: Two more people died from coronavirus in Rajasthan on Thursday as 75 fresh cases surfaced, taking the state’s infection count to 9,52,497. So far, the infection has claimed 8,923 lives in the state. Of the fresh cases, the maximum 15 were reported from Jaipur while 10 surfaced in Jodhpur. A total of 9,42,172 people have recovered from the infection and the number of active cases at present is 1,402.

Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh on Thursday recorded 40 new coronavirus cases and 12 casualties, which pushed its infection tally to 7,89,844 and death toll to 8,981. A total of 65 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the state's recovery count to 7,80,330. The number of recoveries reached 9,75,658 after a total of 111 people were discharged from various hospitals, while 470 others completed their home isolation during the day. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the state stands at 5,787.

Goa: Goa's coronavirus caseload went up by 231 and reached 1,66,920 on Thursday, while 221 more patients recovered from the infection. The death toll rose to 3,060 as six more patients succumbed to the infection during the day. The number of recovered cases increased to 1,61,582 after 221 patients were discharged from hospitals during the last 24 hour. Goa now has 2,278 active cases.

Assam: A total of 38 COVID-19 deaths were reported in Assam in the last 24 hours, while 2,669 new infections were detected in 1,37,665 tests done across the state.

Manipur: Manipur reaches 70 thousand of COVID-19 positive cases as the State logs new 508 cases and 12 deaths.The number of people who have got the vaccination shot is 6,66,625 with 83,445 having received the second shot as well.

Meghalaya: Meghalaya has continued to record a large number of Covid-19 cases each day.The number of active cases has been hovering around 4,000 for quite some time now. The state recorded six Covid- 19 related deaths today which pushes the total death toll in the Meghalaya to 844. He said the state also detected 577 new cases. 250 persons have recovered from the viral infection. So far, a total of 50,090 Covid-19 cases have been recorded in the state out of which 4,537 are active cases, 44,709 recovered while there have been 844 death.

Nagaland: Nagaland reports 66 new cases and 3 deaths of COVID-19 on Thursday. There were 82 recoveries and total cases are 25,305.Nagaland has administered a total of 5,08,393 doses of Covid vaccine to 4,46,094 persons till Wednesday. So far 62,299 persons have received both doses of the vaccine

Sikkim: Sikkim’s tally of confirmed cases ofCOVID-19 reached 20,666 with 122 newcases of novel coronavirus reported in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, one more person succumbed to novel Coronavirus infectionover the same period taking Sikkim’s COVID death toll to 308.

India’s cumulative vaccination coverage exceeded 33.57 crore yesterday. A total of 33,57,16,019vaccine doses have been administered through 44,75,791 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. 27,60,345 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.These include:

The new phase of universalization of COVID19 vaccination commenced from 21 June, 2021. The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID19 vaccination throughout the country.

India has reported 48,786 new cases in the last 24 hours.Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported since four continuous days. India has also been witnessing a continuous fall in the active caseload. The country’s Active Caseload today stands at 5,23,257 today. A net decline of 13,807is witnessed in the last 24 hours and active cases are now only 1.72% of the country's total Positive Cases.

As more people are getting recovered from COVID-19 infection, India’s Daily Recoveries continue to outnumber the Daily New Cases for 49 consecutive days now. 61,588recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.

More than 12,000 (12,802) recoveries were reported during the last 24 hours as compared to the daily new cases.

Out of the people infected since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,94,88,918people have already recovered from COVID-19 and61,588patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. This constitutes an overall recovery rate of 96.97%, which is showing a sustained increasing trend.

With substantially ramped up testing capacity across the country, a total of 19,21,450tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 41.20 crore (41,20,21,494) tests so far.

While on one side testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, a continued decline in weekly case positivity is noticed. Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 2.64% while the Daily Positivity rate stands at 2.54% today. It has remained less than 5% for 24 consecutive days now.

More than 32.92 Crore vaccine doses provided by Government of India to States/UTs More than 1.24 Cr lakh doses still available with States/UTs to be administered

More than 32.92 crore (32,92,01,800) vaccine doses have been provided by Government of India to States/UTs so far, through Government of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category.Of this, the total consumption, including wastages is 31,67,50,891 doses (as per data available at 8 AM today).

More than 1.24 Cr (1,24,50,909) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.Furthermore, more than 94,66,420 vaccine doses are in the pipeline and will be received by the States/UTs within the next 3 days.

Robust, mobile OxyJani can cater to acute & chronic oxygen needs at grassroots level

Indian researchers have designed a robust, mobile group oxygen concentrator that can be used in rural settings and also be rapidly deployed in emergencies in any location.

The second wave of COVID-19 led to an acute shortage of medical oxygen. While the crisis in the bigger cities was more about rapidly responding by overcoming supply chain limitations, in smaller cities and villages, the crisis exposed the chronic lack of medical oxygen infrastructure in the country.

Maharashtra: Maharashtra on Wednesday reported 9,771 new cases of COVID-19, taking the tally to 60,61,404, while the death toll rose to 1,21,945 after 141 patients succumbed to the infection. As 10,353 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, pushing the number of recovered cases to 58,19,901. The state now has 1,16,364 active COVID-19 cases.

Gujarat: Gujarat on Wednesday reported 90 new cases of COVID-19 and three casualties that took the tally of infections to 8,23,523 and the toll to 10,059. The daily count of infections remained below the 100-mark for the third consecutive day, after falling to the level for the first time since April last year. The state currently has 3,013 active cases.Gujarat has surpassed 2.50 crore doses of Corona vaccine till date. According to official figures as many as two crore 53,93,866 vaccination doses have been administered in the state to the eligible beneficiaries above the age of 18 years. Out of total eligible persons in the age group of above 18 years in the state, more than 40 per cent persons have been given first dose till date and 55,31, 284 persons have been given second dose.

Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday recorded 33 new cases of COVID-19 and 15 fresh fatalities, raising the tally of infections to 7,89,804 and the death toll to 8,969.A total of 78 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the count of recoveries in Madhya Pradesh to 7,80,265. The state now has 570 active cases. Of the 52 districts in the state, 35 did not record any fresh coronavirus case in the last 24 hours.

Chhattisgarh: Chhattisgarh's coronavirus caseload rose to 9,94,480 on Wednesday with the addition of 403 cases, while the death toll mounted by one to reach 13,439. The number of recoveries went up to 9,75,077 after a total of 70 people were discharged from various hospitals, while 282 others completed their home isolation during the day. The count of active COVID-19 cases in the state stands at 5,964.Over 95.45 lakh doses of vaccines against coronavirus have been administered to people in all categories in Chhattisgarh.

Haryana: Total Number of Samples found positive till date is 768639. Total activeCOVID-19 patients is 1437. Number of deaths is 9431. Cumulative number of peoplevaccinated till date is 8850529.

Chandigarh: Total Lab confirmed COVID-19 cases is 61670. Total number of ActiveCases is 154. Total number of COVID-19 deaths till date is 808.

KERALA: Kerala recorded 13,658 new Covid cases on Wednesday. With 142 new fatalities, the death tollmounted to 13,235. Test positivity rate was recorded at 9.71. The state meantime has received6,34,270 more doses of Covid vaccine from the Centre. So far a total of 1,41,30,614 people have beenvaccinated in the state. Out of this, 1,08,58,736 took first dose and 32,71,878 second dose.

TAMIL NADU: Another 4,506 people tested positive for Covid¬19 in the State on Wednesday, taking thetally to 24,79,696. As on date, 38,191 people are undergoing treatment for the infection. The staterecorded 113 deaths taking the total toll to 32,619.The Center has allotted 71 lakh Covid vaccines for Tamil Nadu for July,the first batch of which is expected on Friday. Puducherry government extends lockdown till July. A total of 1,56,42,773 people have so far been vaccinated in TN. Out of this, 1,30,73,449 took firstdose and 25,69,324 took second dose. Similarly in Puducherry UT, a total of 5,07,394 people has so farbeen vaccinated. Out of this, 4,40,326 took first dose and 67,068 took second dose.

KARNATAKA:As per the State Government bulletin released for 30-06-2021, New Cases Reported:3,382; Total Active Cases: 76,505; New Covid Deaths: 111; Total Covid Deaths: 35,040;Around 1,86,558 were vaccinated yesterday with a total of 2,26,62,318 have been vaccinated in thestate till now.

ANDHRA PRADESH: State reported 3797 new Covid-19 cases after testing 97,696 samples with 35deaths, while 5498 got discharged during the last 24 hours. Assam:Assam on Wednesday recorded 2,479 fresh cases of coronavirus taking the active caseload to 25,088. The positivity rate was 2.71 percent. Manipur:In Manipur 592 new cases added to total tally of infection, 9 fall victim, Govt issues ‘get vaccinated’ call.The number of people who have received their vaccination jabs is 6,47,632. Meghalaya:Meghalaya reported seven more COVID-19 deaths on Wednesday taking the number of fatalities to 838.Meanwhile, the number of new recoveries once again outnumbered fresh cases in the state.392 patients recovered from the viral infection while 352 fresh cases were detected.The active tally now stands at 4,216 while 44,459 patients have been declared as cured/recovered.

Sikkim:Out of the 910 samples tested,Sikkim on Wednesday reported 220 new Covid-19 cases,which took the tally in the state to 20,544.The death toll rose to 307 as twomore patients succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours.

Tripura:431 people found positive with 5 more deaths in last 24 hours.Overall Positivity rate in the state is 5.12%, while the worst affected district of West Tripura recorded a positivity rate of 9.78%.

Nagaland:Covid cases on the rise again in Nagaland with 128 new cases and 2 deaths reported on Wednesday. Active cases are 1341 while tally rises to 25,239.
