Almost 70 business partners from all over the world attended the seminar which was held in a very relaxed and fruitful atmosphere. Positive feedback was gained from different markets and partners.

In addition, IOI Oleo GmbH also launched the second edition of the Formulations à la carte which contains 26 state- of-the-art formulations focusing on SOFTISAN® conditionHAIR and SOFTISAN® 649.

API Line at Witten Oleo GmbH successfully commissioned its new liquid lipid filling line at its production site in IOIWitten in March 2019. The achievement is a clear commitment towards IOI Oleo GmbH’s Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-compliance and patient safety as well as towards its PHARMA business as the essential pillar of IOI Oleo GmbH. After the governmental GMP approval at the end of January 2019 followed by some finishing touches during February 2019, the first batch of MCT oil (MIGLYOL 812 N) was filled in March 2019. The filling process operates fully automatically in a class D cleanroom environment and both standard steel drums and intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) can be filled. MIGLYOL 812 N is used as an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) in fat emulsions for parenteral nutrition, which is a highly ethical field of application with the highest standards for hygiene and purity.

While this new API filling line sets the course of IOI Oleo GmbH’s growing API PHARMA business from a regulatory and quality point of view, additional filling capacities could be created as the old filling line will continuously be used for products for which less stringent hygienic requirements apply.
