Day 2, Friday, May 16 Breakfast…Day of touring, including the incomparable Hermitage Museum and local Jewish heritage sites: the Jewish Community Center, the Choral Synagogue and the "Formula of Sorrow", and St. Petersburg's memorial to the victims of the Holocaust… In the evening we will gather for a special Kabbalat Shabbat service that will include a dedication of the new Sha'arei Shalom Synagogue-Center in St. Petersburg. A festive Shabbat dinner will be held with congregation members… Overnight Petro Palace Hotel. Day 3, Saturday, May 17 Breakfast…Shabbat morning services…Afternoon of local sites including the Summer Gardens, and the Church of our Savior…Havdallah followed by dinner with congregational Netzer youth…Optional cultural program or cruise on the Neva River this evening… Overnight Petro Palace Hotel. Day 4, Sunday, May 18 Breakfast…Day of touring, including Peterhof Palace, built by Peter the Great as the Russian answer to Versailles. This imperial summer residence is a historical and architectural monument of the 18th and 19th centuries. Peterhof was a residence used for Gala Receptions only. It is known as the “Capital of Fountains”, the most splendid group of them being the Great Cascade and is still be restored following the destruction of World War II…This final day will conclude with a festive farewell gala dinner… Overnight Petro Palace Hotel.
