PNB presents tithes over RM8 million to State

JOHOR BAHRU:- His Majesty , Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar was honoured to receive PNB business tithes to the Johor State amounting to RM8,388,000.000.

The cheque was presented by Group Chairman of PNB, YBhg Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar to His Majesty Sultan of Johor at Pasir Pelangi Palace, . Also present at the event were President & Group Chief Executive, YBhg Dato’ Abdul Rahman Ahmad, Deputy President & Group Chief Financial Officer, YBhg Dato’ Mohd Nizam Zainordin, and Head Shariah Management, Dr. Ahmad Basri Ibrahim.

The business tithes paid by PNB are calculated based on the defined ‘haul’ and ‘nisab’. However, the tithes do not cover the income distribution to account holders who invest in unit trust funds managed by Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB). Account holders are advised to observe their own personal tithes obligation for their investments in the respective funds.
