(A71 Horsley Brae, Brownlee Road and , Near Overtown)

(30 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2015

The Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Constable of Police in accordance with Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-

1. This Order may be cited as “The North Lanarkshire Council (A71 Horsley Brae, Brownlee Road and Garrion Bridge, Near Overtown) (30 MPH Speed Limit) Order” and shall come into operation on Friday, the sixth day of November, Two thousand and fifteen.

2. No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding thirty miles per hour on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 of this Order.

Given under the seal of the North Lanarkshire Council and signed for them and on their behalf by Archie Aitken, Head of Democratic and Legal Services, at on Thursday, the twenty-ninth day of October, Two thousand and fifteen.

30 MPH SPEED LIMIT

A71 Horsley Brae

From its junction with the north eastern circulatory carriageway of Garrion Bridge, north eastwards to a point 261 metres or thereby, north of the extended line of the northern kerb of B7011 Brownlee Road, a distance of 852 metres or thereby.

A71 Garrion Bridge

From the boundary with Council on the north Garrion Bridge, north eastwards, south eastwards then south westwards to the boundary with South Lanarkshire Council on the south Garrion Bridge, a distance of 136 metres or thereby.

B7011 Brownlee Road

From its junction with A71 Horsley Brae, eastwards to the boundary with South Lanarkshire Council, a distance of 151 metres or thereby.
