    Government of India Ministry of Earth Sciences India Meteorological Department PRESS RELEASE - 7 Time of issue: 1330 hours IST Dated: 13-10-2020 Sub: Deep Depression crossed north Andhra Pradesh coast close to Kakinada, today morning and lay over north coastal Andhra Pradesh Yesterday's deep depression over westcentral Bay of Bengal moved west-northwestwards and crossed north Andhra Pradesh coast close to Kakinada (near latitude 17.0°N & longitude 82.4° E) between 0630 & 0730 Hrs IST of today, the 13th October 2020, as a Deep Depression with maximum sustained wind speed of 55-65 kmph gusting to 75 kmph. Moving west- northwestwards further, it lay centred at 0830 hrs IST of today, the 13th October, 2020 near latitude 17.0°N and longitude 82.1°E, about 15 km west-northwest of Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh) and 200 km east- southeast of Khammam (Telangana). It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and weaken into a Depression during next 06 hours and further weaken into a Well marked low Pressure area during the subsequent 12 hours. Realised rainfall during past 24 hours from 0830 hours of 12th October to 0830 hours of 13th October is given in Annexure 1. These deposits are mined normally when the extraction of the mineral is economically viable or due to economic interest. Mineral area classified as two groups i.e., Major and Minor Minerals. In a developmental activity like Quartz mining, all the exercises must co-exist satisfactorily with its surrounding condition so as to minimize the adverse impact on the environment. To control the likely adverse impacts and to achieve this goal, it is necessary to prepare an Environmental Management Plan, which has to be implemented by the proponents, in order to achieve environmental protection along with production profits. Subhash Patnaik has filed an application for quarry lease for Quartz & Quartzite Mines over an extent of 14.16ha, in Sy.No.43 Garugubilli Village, Merakamudidam Mandal, Vizianagaram District, Andhra Pradesh The Director of Mines & Geology, Hyderabad has decided to grant a quarry lease in favor of M/s.
