This includes sharing lessons and good practices and harmonisation of approaches. The CWG could also serve as the technical arm of clusters, who would like to systematically include CVA in their response toolbox. In January 2021, humanitarian partners distributed multipurpose cash worth a total of $5.5M USD, benefiting 262,600 crisis-affected individuals living in 132 communities in Idleb and Aleppo governorates. This is done through collecting, analyzing and sharing information on the humanitarian situation in Syria. To this end, the Assistance Coordination Unit through the Information Management Unit established a wide net- work of enumerators who have been recruited depending on specific criteria such as education level, association with information sources and ability to work and communicate under various conditions. The assessment showed that: SWM sector, in general, is not supported by Non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The number of communities of JASD is ninety- nine about 262,246 persons (113382 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs),147,449 resident population, 1,415 returnees, and population) live in it, all these local councils are not received or supported by SW equipment, tools, and machines, About seventy communities out of ninety-nine communities (92,195 persons of 262,246 persons) of JASD does not have dedicated works for solid waste collection , and Eighty 80 communities (120,237 persons of 262,246 persons) do not have SW containers, and 67 communities (77,195 persons of 262,246 do not have solid waste tractors with a trails are necessary for SWM. the average, maximum and minimum of SW production per capita at JASD communities (0.21; 0.79; 0.02) kg day-1.     WASH Semimonthly Bulletin - Syria Early Warning Alert and Response Network Date: 27 Dec 2015 - 9 Jan 2016 Week No. 1-2 Highlights ● This report covers 653 drinking water sources monitored in 8 governorates.The percentages in this report represents only the sources monitored. ● 86% (563/653) of the drinking water sources monitored were function. 14% (90/653) were not functioning. ● In the areas that their stations are suspended, agricultural wells are used as an alternative water source, and tankers are used in water transportation. ● The treated water sources were 26% (145/563), while the operating stations without treatment were 74%(418/563). The monitored drinking water sources in Dar’a and Deir-ez-Zour were all treated, whereas none were treated in Hama and Quneitra. ● Of the functioning water stations, 93% (522/563) delieved water using a piping network and 7% (42/563) delivered water using tankering. ● An environmental problem was reported in Aqrabat which locates in Dana district/Idleb governorate, where sewage drainage coming from camps passes near the wells that are used as water sources in Aqrabat, so it causes water pollution. ● An environmental problem was reported in Namera Tower which locates in Dana district/Idleb governorate, where sewage drainage coming from Dana, Deir Hassan and Sarmada.
