However, there is one achievement that is not on the list and yet is probably one of its most significant accomplishments: team chem - istry. While not ordinarily thought of as an accomplishment, the ability to synthesize and maintain positive team chemistry is ar - guably one of the most significant achieve - ments behind a team’s ability to succeed. We all know that without positive team chem - istry even the most talent-laden team will not find success (the last World Cup gave a perfect example). This NHB squad has in - credibly positive team chemistry. Of course the team chemistry is a direct outcome of the “team comes first” mentality of the in - dividual players. This group of girls under - stands that the success of the team depends on the collective contribution of the group and not on any one individual player. This year has opened a new window for the NHB Black GU-17 team. In addition to the many hours spent this past summer preparing for the upcoming season, the girls are looking beyond to college options. For those who have indicated an interest in con - tinuing their playing career at the college level, they have been busy contacting col - lege programs. As everyone knows (but
