Our vision. “A great place to live and an even better place to do business” is our recognition that the borough’s economic success and its quality of life are inseparably linked.

We are an ambitious Council, pro- business, and we understand the importance of embracing economic growth. Work is well underway which will see more than 13,000 new homes built by 2026 including four new communities. This development will bring with it about £350 million investment in infrastructure and facilities such as new schools, roads, shops, nature reserves and community centres which will add a further boost to keeping and attracting new business.

A significant investment in the regeneration of our town centres is also taking place, starting with Wokingham town, and an exciting new science park to be built adjacent to the M4 also in the borough.
